On-Stage Hex Base Monitor Stand

I needed a stand for my new rear surround speakers. I wanted an adjustable stand that at the highest point places the speakers above people's heads while seating on the couch yet I can lower them if I am the only listener/watcher to place the tweeters near ear level on either side of me.I was concerned with them not being sturdy enough and not being stable enough to support 20lb speakers. The stand is heavy enough and the base is wide enough to properly support my speakers at the top setting.I'm considering buying barbell weights to slide down the tube to sit on top of the base to make them rock solid.The base is perfect size as it's big enough to support the speaker yet it's small enough to fit between my back wall and my couch.I'm using a pair of high quality (read heavy) bookshelf speakers at the rear and my main concern was stability as I obviously don't want them falling off. My speakers have a bottom mounting screw hole which I will be using by drilling a hole in the top plate of the stand which will make them 100% secure.Highly recommended.

NOTE: THE BOX DID COME SORT OF RIPPED APART. It’s because of how heavy the hex bases are and how the corners probably start ramming up against the edge of the box during shipping & transport.However, I think the only way to prevent that is for the company to change their packaging. They need to use styrofoam and possibly a shape that is not so long. I really don’t think returning and ordering another would have helped because it would have risked the same thing happening.The stands themselves were in brand new condition. No dings or dents or scratches despite the box being in bad shape. It takes like 5 mins to screw both of the poles to the bases and screw on the flat top piece. I installed them in the places I wanted on carpeted floor. I didn’t use the floor spikes. Didn’t really see a reason. Put my monitors on and BAM, more desk space and an overall better looking setup. I’m satisfied. Also I got these in one day so if the packaging wasn’t great, eh I don’t care. I got what I paid for and I’m pleased.

Solid and stable stands. As advertised.

I bought this to hold my Yamaha hs7 studio monitors. The monitors fit on nicely and it seems quite stable. My only concern is there is no way to secure the monitors; it would be nice if there were slides on the side that the monitors could lock into, if even just by pressure. BUT they do the trick and work great with my desk setup for my studio monitors for recording. You can easily lower or raise them.
