where does one find the instructions for this mechanical pencil?

If there is a broken piece of lead stuck inside, or a short piece, you cannot get lead to advance, or reload new lead. There is a fine pin stuck to the inside of the eraser. You can remove the eraser and use this to clear any broken lead. When the pencil is completely assembled, depress the top as if you were going to advance the lead. Extremely gently insert a new lead, while keeping the top depressed. I always load my 0.3 pencils from the writing end, since the lead is so fragile. All brands of 0.3 lead pencils are difficult, for most people a 0.5 or 0.7, is better. This is probably the best.

I don't see the eraser.,.. How easy is it to expose it? Can you leave the eraser exposed? I typically always do that...

The eraser is located under the silver cap at the top. Being a drafting pencil, the eraser is very small (~4mm) and is designed for fixing small mistakes without erasing anything else. Some people say that since the tip is retractable it can become wobbly while writing. Anybody else have this problem?

Wobbly may be a bit of an exaggeration but there can be a bit of movement in the tip. I have a two Graph Gear 1000's, one tip has no movement and the other has maybe a 1/2 mm movement. The movement is imperceptible while writing though, at least for me.

Is this mechanical pencil comfortable when used to write for long periods of time? Thanks in advance for any answers.

I use it all of the time and find it quite comfortable. I'm taking multiple classes and use it as my only writing implement in every one- note-taking as well as homework.Good luck!Sam
