I really enjoyed this series. You can really tell by the writing style that Paolini was a teenager when he began the first book, and had really shaped and honed his craft by the end. This series does move slowly at times, and the books are really thick (awesome for a bibliophile like me), but overall, an engaging series.

My son wore out his first set and this is a replacement. Very good story that can be reread .

For a long time I'd been wanting a hardback collection of this series that still had the original cover arts for them all and I'm very happy to finally have them, I've seen reviews from other people claiming that they're low quality or that some stuff doesn't quite line up but that's not the case with mine they're absolutely perfect.
