Wow I’m amazed, such a tiny thing and can get so loud ! It has long lasting battery , charging takes a bit time , but it’s worth it. Connection between devices and re-connection with the current device in case ( “out of range” ) or steel wall? JBL go3 is fast and music comes out in perfect balance , also very clear sound. Maybe a bit less trebles and more base , but seriously. With this little devil you will be very satisfied. It’s made mostly front thick rubber, so when accidentally falls down the table on the floor , it’s pretty protected so I take it as a bonus. My partner is a clumsy one.. :/ also when it’s finally positioned, rubber matts slow down any vibration caused by base and neutralise it. So if you put it for instance on a wooded bed side table , or glass… it won’t be creating vibration. So that is also another bonus. Only what u get its crystal clear sound. Before I ordered JBL GO3 , I have tried one of the “Anker” JBL go 3 ***** in quality of sound for good value ANKER *** trebles and bass is all over the place on this one and it resonates . Great product. I was expecting it to be a small sounding speaker but wow JBL have done well with this, for such a tiny device it has a decent bass sound, much better than I was expecting. The vocals and instrumental sounds sound brilliant. It's like JBLs signature sound, but for every device and not just the most biggest ones they sell. I rarely turn it up louder than around 65% volume and this is plenty enough for loud music. I have never had any distortion or muddy sounds and sounds of high quality even at louder volumes. It is so easy to use as well, you hold the power button, pair it with phone or device, press play and it works perfect. Then next time you use it, it auto connects to your phone and you don't have to worry about pairing it. After pairing it agger the first time it only takes around 2 seconds. It has simple buttons on the top, a plus, minus and play button, but these also work for skip and previous track. Pause, play, volume up and down. It is supposed to be waterproof to an extent too but I haven't wanted to try this yet. But probably will get wet sooner or later, however it has had sand on and in it so that has good sand protection if you're taking it to the beach. The battery lasts forever! It says 5 hours, but mine is still playing after using it pretty much every day for an hour or so each day for the last 8 days. So I'm at 8hours battery with around 55% volume average. Overall, I highly recommend this product as it is a rugged little speaker with great battery and sound. The only downside is that this speaker does not have a chip inside which can tell the battery percentage left. So when you connect it to your phone or device it won't tell you how much battery is left, but the speaker itself will flash red when the battery is low.

First off, I rarely give 5 stars, a product must excel for me to do that, so 4 stars is still true praise from me. I have better, higher quality, more powerful portable speakers but I wanted something even smaller and lighter for travelling and using in hotels. Size (smallness) was a major factor for me, though I can't be doing with cheap, tinny, barely audible sound reproduction. So much research led me to the JBL GO 3. The reason I chose this over my other shortlisted options was volume... no, not the sound volume, but the physical size volume. I carry a small small 'washbag' of tech, chargers and cables when travelling and it needed to fit into this without taking up too much space or being too heavy as I'm often carrying this stuff around. It's simple and easy to operate, the Bluetooth connected without any drama or problems. It's not feature-packed, but that's just perfect for what I needed. On/off button, volume up/down, play/pause, and a Bluetooth connect button, I don't want more complexity tbh. The sound is pretty darn good, I just cannot quite bring myself to describe it as excellent. But given the size, power and physical constraints, I don't think you could achieve much better. One thing, it is a little 'bassey' for me. Which is ironic as that's the most difficult range for manufacturers to achieve in a small speaker, so JBL have done well there if that's your thing. Battery life isn't brilliant, but it's 5 hours is more than adequate for my hotel use. It has good quality, nice tactile feel to it. The loop's a bit superfluous for me but it is designed to be used in a multitude of environments so will prove useful for some. I'm not sure about the durability and look of the fabric covering, but that's of no consequence really. So all in all... I'm really pleased with it. An ideal portable speaker for my travels offering sound quality exceeding it's size. I'm pleased with my purchase defiantly a 'keeper'.

Very good sound quality, long lasting charge and great for taking away on trips

Great!! Had it for almost 2 years now and have taken it into the shower, rivers, and many camps. So obviously great for in water. It gets loud (for its size). Never had problems connecting it with Bluetooth. The carrying loop has been VERY useful up until now...A fox stole it when I left it outside and ate the speaker! Luckily I found it and it still works perfectly!!

I don't leave reviews often anymore but this little speaker impressed me so much I felt I had to recommend it. I was browsing for a small portable speaker to connect to my phone whilst listening to podcasts and music streaming whilst engaged in chores. (Not fond of headphones/earphones for prolonged periods.) I found this great little unit from JBL. This is a brand that has pedigree, both in the HI-FI market and live performance, so I chose it on that basis alone. I was able to use it straight out of the box. The sound quality from such a small device surprised and impressed me. It can get fairly loud with a nice bottom end punch that surprised me most of all. I initially laid it on its back on a hard surface to test its projection unhindered or muffled and saw it move around with the vibration. I realised soon after that it should stand upright on its rubber grips, it stopped "walking" but the power from such a small unit was amply demonstrated. With regard to the features rated above, I have not given any stars relating to water resistance simply as I have no intention of putting it to the test and therefore cannot comment. However, I believe given the quality of the unit that it will pass that test if accidently dropped in water. It is a weighty, seemingly rugged device. Bluetooth works smoothly and connected to my phone effortlessly. I absolutely love this product and cannot recommend it highly enough. An impressive bit of kit. The bigger JBL Charge 5 has been voted "Best portable wireless speaker under £200.00" by 'What HI-FI' this year. Still this little (award winning) unit for the price is well worth considering.

Als Radio 10 fan baalde ik ontzettend dat de ontvangst op de FM autoradio na frequente verhuizing een probleem werd... Helaas kon ook de DAB+ radio in de keuken (in ons woongebied aan de Duitse grens) niets ontvangen 😭 Maar, dankzij deze handzame JBL speaker is dát probleem opgelost 😉 Via de BT van m'n foon naar dit boxje icm de Radio 10 app kan ik weer radio luisteren. En weet je, 't klinkt niet eens beroerd, best 'n dapper geluid uit zo'n klein doosje 🎵🎶 Mogelijk nú wat vervormd door 't filmen met een telefoon maar in 't echt is 't goéd aan te horen 👍 Zelfs 'n (voelbare) bas is niet storend dus ik ben erg tevreden. Hij onderbreekt muziek als de telefoon gaat alleen komt de radio daarna niet terug. Één druk op de driehoekige knop lost dat echter op. Met de gekoppelde telefoon 'n filmpje of foto's maken ging niet, toen werkten de JBL knoppen opeens als afstandsbediening om foto's of een filmpje te maken maar dan wel zónder geluid 🙄 Het filmpje bij deze review is dus met 'n andere telefoon gemaakt.

According to Amazon I purchased the JBL Go 3 on this date: 29 June 2021 I’m still using it right now in September 2025. When I brought it to my warehouse workplace years ago my coworkers were impressed that it could make so much sound at that small size. •The sound is great, but might not work well with every single genre. •The battery was excellent when new, it lasted the whole workday. Still pretty good now after 4 years despite near daily use at home. •The loop is nice for hanging it on places when you’re on the go. The small size makes it easy to carry in a bag. •Underneath the speaker there are pieces of silicone/rubber to keep it stable and standing on surfaces. They started falling off this year so I glued them on again. No problem. All things considered, I’m happy with the speaker and would buy it again. If discontinued I would probably buy the Go 4 etc. Hopefully the quality and sound is still good on the later models.
