I gotta say that right out of the box, this is a pretty nice little game set. Some people reviewed it poorly, but you get what you pay for. I have seen much cheaper sets, for not much less, I have also seen this EXACT SAME set retailing elsewhere for almost twice the price! So I certainly don't think this is worth $70 or $80, but it is definitely worth the $33 I paid. I like that it comes with so many games, instead of just 4 or 5. At least for the money, you are getting a fair variety. As other reviewers said, yes it is unfortunate that it does not come with printed instructions for the games, that would be nice. But, it is not a seller or Amazon issue. I did my research. This set does not come with instructions no matter where you get it from. That is just the way they packaged it. Doesn't matter if you buy it from Amazon, Target, Toys-R-Us or Kohls, no instructions. Life goes on. Just Google how to play each game individually. I actually like the design of storage for the set, it is very appropriate. Mine came with all the pieces, dice, etc., and I don't think the pieces are too small. In fact, my husband bought a $15 set that he promptly returned because the chess pieces were ridiculously cheap and puny. The chess pieces of this set are actually of a reasonable size, so he likes it, and we are keeping it. The dominoes.... okay, those are kind of a joke. But again, the whole set is $30 bucks, so don't expect a whole lot. I actually love that this set is similar to one my mom had as a display set when I was a kid. I loved it. I remember when my brother and sister and I were bored, we would just sit down, take the top off and pull out the pieces to whatever we wanted to play. It's actually a wonder we never lost any of the pieces. This set is just like a walk down memory lane, this is nice enough to actually display on a coffee table, without being so nice that you don't want the kids to touch it. We are happy letting ours learn all the games and play them together as a family. So me personally, I love the set. It is exactly what i'd expect for the price. I bought this a few years ago and only gave it the stars for review but not any written review. I am now (2024) writing out a review. Ours did come with directions for every game included. I am going to laminate them so they will last. The quality is fine. The wood hasn’t broken, and all pieces were included. I mainly wanted Chinese checkers but wanted to have all the others too since we don’t have all of them. I bought this for my family, and my kids love playing games together. We play a lot of board games, table games, and card games together. I have no complaints, but save my 5 star reviews for something that really blows me out of the water. The boards have some scratches in the paint and small imperfections that show a slightly lower quality of craftsmanship. For the price I am not complaining, but just took one star off. I would buy this again for the price and recommend it to others. Since there are so many pieces, I would be careful if taking this with you when traveling. Make sure you keep the bags everything comes in and possibly put the whole thing in a bag so the boards don’t slide out.

This 7-in-1 game set is great for family time or playing with friends. It includes classic games; the pieces are well-made and the board is sturdy. Everything is neatly organized and easy to store. Perfect as a gift or to keep at home. Fun and complete set!

Unfortunately, there were a lot more things that we disliked about this set than the ones we liked. Out of the things I like the most about this product is that it’s the perfect set of games to keep playing for hours. I also like how easy it is to store all the game pieces in the storage base. We got this set for our family to keep entertained during this stay-at-home mandate, and it took a long time to arrive but once it did we immediately started playing a round of chess. The game board turned out to be smaller than expected. We discovered a few chips in the edges of the board that have the potential to give us some splinters. The board itself and storage base don’t seem to be of good quality. The wood is very flimsy, and it does not have the wooden old fashion feel we were expecting, rather, it’s was more of a bad paint job, so we’ll see how long this lasts. The game pieces for the chess game are so tiny, we struggled to lift them off the board. They are almost as small as a shirt button. The backgammon game is even smaller than the ones made for a child. Lastly, the set seems overpriced for its bad quality. Compared to other games we found online, We paid $36 for this set and saw some other sets with magnetic pieces for about the same price. At the end we decided to go with this one because the expected arrival was sooner than the other ones. Overall, the set does its purpose. We played and enjoyed our time playing despite the tiny pieces. I would not recommend to anyone looking for something more durable and of good quality.

This item should be removed from this page and the seller penalised. I bought this item as a gift and luckily had it delivered to my home first. I just wanted to look at the item to see if it really was what I expected. I was very disappointed as it does not bear any resemblance to the item shown. The worrying thing is, if this had been sent directly to the people I had bought it for, I wouldn't have been aware of the scam. I got a full refund and guess what? The seller didn't want the item returned... I wonder why. I urge Amazon to deal with this issue if they care about their customers. After all, I wouldn't have fallen for this scam if I hadn't been searching for a game set on Amazon.

This game set has been perfect for us. Mainly use it for chess but have tried other games too. Some of the pieces are a tad slippery and easily brush off board. The box itself is sturdy and easy to use and store away.
