I have had this item for over a year now and it is fabulous! The construction and quality are top notch. Incredibly easy to use, plug-n-play. Huge capacity for such a tiny, powerful item. It doesn't overheat and transfer time is as quick as possible.

This is an updated review since i had issues with my intial purchase, half of which wasnt an issue with this device. Read below for old review. I have gotten a replacement because my original was doa. So far this one seems good. Its functioning as expected. As a side note: this was my first time contacting amazon customer support. The person helping me did a great job. It was quick and not at all painful as i thought it would be! I was impressed. Old review:First and foremost the harddrive failed almost immediately. Now I understand that there are going to be issues now and again, so i just set it up to do a swap for the exact same drive. When my new drive arrived it wasnt quite the same. It was a Weezer cd. Now, i believe that to be a warehouse issue probably. However, now when i try to set it up to send it back for what i was supposed to get, it wont allow me. How frustrating.

Bought new, it is small & portable. I bought the case separately. It did take longer to be delivered, but I was not in a hurry. It is easy to use, backs up quickly

The product works fine, and has accepted its first couple of terabytes of data no problem. The best part is that the delivery driver actually rang my bell and it truly was "handed to resident", rather than just leaving it by my door to be discovered, eventually.

I didn't read that it's an HDD. I was expecting SSD to get delivered. But it was my mistake I missed out the Title and description. But nevertheless it's fast and works perfectly via even when connected via multi USB 3.0 dongle to my Asus Zenbook Flip 13.
