The media could not be loaded. The ability to control my lights remotely through an app has been incredibly convenient. Whether I’m at work or out running errands, I can turn devices on or off with just a tap on my phone. It gives me peace of mind, knowing I can check if I forgot to turn something off before leaving the house.One of my favorite features is the scheduling option. I’ve set up routines where my lights turn on automatically in the evening, creating a welcoming atmosphere when I get home.

I bought this to run a small water pump outdoors for a hydroponic tower. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to set it up until a few months after I bought it-leaving it well outside the return window. Took a bit of effort, but I was finally able to get it connected to my phone. After that, I was testing the tower and getting ready to set a schedule for it when it suddenly stopped passing power. From the moment I first plugged it in, there was a light that illuminated to indicate the status of the device. Once it stopped passing power, I noticed the light wasn’t on anymore. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

I bought this to go with some string lights I installed over my patio. I was specifically looking for something that could be controlled via Bluetooth because I live in a two family house and wanted both apartments to be able to control it without having to be on the same Wi-Fi network or share a physical remote. I also didn’t want to worry about batteries or losing the remote, so phone app control seemed ideal. After reading other reviews saying Bluetooth didn’t work I was concerned, but bought it anyway because I didn’t find good alternatives with Bluetooth.The apps and the process of connecting them to the dimmer is the only criticism I have. After installing the manufacturers app I couldn’t get it to work with Bluetooth, but once I installed the Smart Life app the Bluetooth controls worked fine. It also worked well via Wi-Fi and via Google Home by voice command. If you are entirely non-technical just buy one with a physical remote.By the way, I did not try to set it up initially using bluetooth. All settings are retained after being unplugged, so if you plan to use it with bluetooth you don't need WiFi to reach the area where you'll actually be using it. I plugged it in inside my house, configured it via WiFi and then moved it to the outdoor location.The dimming function was excellent but it turns out the lights at their brightest are just fine, so I don’t anticipate using the dimmer function — I’ll just be using the physical on/off switch on the unit. It is still a great deal for me as it is a great price even just for a waterproof outdoor switch.

The instructions say to change the network to 2.4 and use the BN-LINK SMART app which would not connect with the Smart Plug at all making the Smart Plug pretty useless. Fortunately other reviewers recommended the Feit Electric app which had no trouble connecting to the BN-LINK Smart Plug using the easy setup (quick blinking) mode and with that app I was up and running in less than a minute. Programming sunrise/sunset was challenging because you don’t program it on the Smart Plug operation page like you do for specific times. Instead you create a Smart Scene Automation and then tell it to turn the switch(es) on or off. One automation for sunrise and another for sunset. It works great NOW, but for an hour and half while following the instructions and fighting with it, I wanted to smash it to smithereens. We currently have a slightly strained relationship with little patience for any further misadventures. It has not disappointed.

Bought these for a heater at my camper, easily controls on and off. When temperatures get low, I can turn on the heat and turn off when temperatures get warm, rather than keeping a heater going full time. Helps control my electricity bill.

I had bought a rope light from Lowe’s not realizing that it just stayed one brightness and did nothing. This helped to be able to dim my lights to my desire anytime of the day.

Extraordinario. Primero me dio mucho trabajo instalarlo y entender la aplicación, casi lo devuelvo, pero una vez instalada la app, todo se pudo lograr. Lo uso para encender focos a control remoto y en realidad fue fantástico y muy sencillo. Si, lo recomiendo.Excelente artículo y muy útil.

We do a lot of different control work with really high end lighting control systems, and I will be honest, these are actually one of my favorite, cost effective, control modules. Easy set up. Works great with Alexa. We highly recommend them for the average DIY guys. Use they for so many different applications. Thumbs up.

Muy buena aunque yo vivo en la playa y tuve que ponerlas dentro de una caja hermetica porque con la salinidad y la brisa del mar daba toques al tocar la carcaza, pero ya adentro de la caja funciona muy bien y ya no da toques

Had it for a month and it just completely died. Worked perfect for 4 weeks. Looks perfect still but has zero function.
