Great Headset
Great headset - Loving the Astros

Really happy with this product. Headphones look nice and are pleasantly comfortable. Setup of the mixamp on my xbox was relatively easy. Also as I already had an xbox wifi adaptor for my pc it also very easy to setup there. I love the mixamp controls right there on my controller for ease of use. All features of the mixamp worked the same on both xbox and pc. It was great that a two year subscription of Dolby Atomos was included. This feature is fantastic. Recommend.

The Astro A40 TR is, hands down, the best headset I’ve ever used for competitive gaming. As someone who’s top 500 in Siege, hearing those tiny in-game footsteps and directional audio is crucial, and this headset delivers. The sound quality is insane—clear, deep, and crisp. I can hear every little detail, which gives me a major edge in shooters. One thing to note: if you want to crank it up to full volume, you need the MixAmp. Without it, it’s not as loud as it could be, but once hooked up, the sound is perfect. If you’re serious about gaming and need that competitive advantage, the A40 TR is a no-brainer.

I use Astro headsets for gaming. Imho they are the best headsets for this purpose. Well built, comfortable, excellent sound. Only downside is their microphone.

After using the Astro A50’s for years and loving every minute of the sound, I needed a replacement because the battery life was shot and moving and unplugging the amp multiple times messed up the amps circuit board. I have noticed no difference (or loss) in sound quality moving from the a50’s to the a40 with the mixamp M80, and I enjoy having the sound controls right on the controller. Unless you need the wireless or multiple sound options, this Is a great headset with quality sound.
