I have been using this product since the time when it was a prescription only medicine and the texture has been the same as it always was over the years.

do the tubes have expiration dates on them?

Yes. It's about 2 years after I purchased them. I bought 3 boxes in the fall of 2013. The tubes say they expire in October 2015.
