LiPo Glow Driver w/Batt & USB Charger DYNE0201 Glow Plugs

Got this for my Traxxas Revo 3.3 as I prefer to use a glow igniter instead of the EZ start glow warmer. This is probably the best glow igniter you can buy at this price point. The battery seems to last a long time, and it provides consistent output to my glow plug. Truck fires up fast and am happy with the purchase.

I like that it has a green or red LED letting you know when it’s properly attached to the glow plug. I have yet to test and see if this would diag a bad glow plug if it won’t light up or just light red. So far the charger has been accurate. Shows red when charging and turns off when full. Used it twice now to full charge it. Over all it attaches nice to the glow plug and doesn't come flying off. On the expensive side but if it last for multiple sessions and beyond I’d say it’s worth it.

I have limp along with NiMh battery drivers and they just weren't powerfull enough. This Lipo powered driver has made engine starting much easier. The Lipos stay charged and are regulated so you always get a full 1.5 volts.

Originally I ordered the non LiPo version DYN1922 however, although the manufacturers description says the charger light goes out when it's fully charged this is not the case. I left it charging all day and it didn't go out. Given the capacity of the battery and the output of the charger it should reach full charge in about 10 hours. The charger did fully charge the battery based on the voltage but you don't know because the charger light does not go out. I initially thought this was a fault and I returned it and ordered another only to discover that the replacement has exactly the same behaviour. This may have been acceptable when the product was designed but in today's age of smart chargers I expect the charger to switch off, or at least switch to maintenance changing, once the battery is fully charged. I returned both items and instead bought this LiPo version. I went for the USB charging version which gives me greater flexibility for where it can be charged. I am pleased to report that with this model the charger light does go out when it's fully charged and the charger switches off.

Been using this for about a month and i still havent charged it. Or it does not need to be charged still. Have to use original style charger cannot use the charger that clips onto the end like a glow plug tho. I made peace with that…

I usually never had issues with these glowplug but most recent one I got gave out about a month after. Which sucks cause I got this for better reliability. Hope it was just bad luck. Looking purchase again but might look at other options given issue I had.

If you are into nitro rc vehicles this glow igniter is a must. Do not waste your money on a cheap $20 igniter. Light on charger tells you when its charged and light on igniter tells you when glow plug is in contact with igniter so you know its going to work. This is an excellent igniter and I highly recommend it.

Holds a charge for many starts last the whole day and then some, I will buy an other one for sure

I used this to start my nitro RC cars, and it worked exactly as intended. The build quality is solid, and the fact that it's rechargeable is a huge plus. Definitely a great option for anyone needing a reliable glow driver!
