can someone recommend an amp for these speakers?

I wouldn't bother with an amp. I've got a Pioneer 50x4 stereo. that's 22watts continuous output per channel and it's plenty loud. So much so my doors vibrate. I don't think these are really 400watts per pair unless it's the total of each individual part summed up... but they do sound good. Great bass, clean mids & Heights even at high volume. I'm happy with them but I'm going to get a subwoofer just so I don't have to drive them so hard

Just get these but make sure you have foam bafflers and make sure you get the size that fit your car once again with foam bafflers these have extreme bass if you know how to adjust your radio qualities and adjustments.
