This product WILL HELP plantar fasciitis! You have to try it!
This product really does help recovery from plantar fasciitis (PF)! Some people have PF for 6 weeks, others for a year or more. I fell into the latter category. I was stubborn about wearing a night splint because it seemed hideous looking. After 7 months of chronic daily pain I finally tried wearing a night splint. The first one I tried was the Ace brand night splint and it was horrible- extremely uncomfortable/painful on the foot and I couldn't tolerate it for more than an hour. I also tried Strassburg sock - expensive and uncomfortable. Then I tried this by Vive and it was wonderful! It's comfortable to wear all night long and doesn't seem "hot" like other reviewers said. The brace is very cushioned and once it's on, you don't even notice it. It provided IMMEDIATE morning relief the very first time I wore it! Those "first steps" out of bed in the morning felt magically improved. A stubborn case of PF doesn't cure overnight, so the afternoon pain after working on my feet did remain for a while. But within a month or so using this boot regularly my PF overall is finally getting better. I WISH I WOULD HAVE TRIED THIS PRODUCT SOONER and maybe I wouldn't have had such a persistent case of PF. How it works (based on my experience): without a night splint, the microtears in the plantar fascia of the foot heal while sleeping but the foot naturally drops forward (plantar flexion position) in bed, therby shortening the muscle. As getting out of bed and putting weight on the foot, the muscle gets stretched and everything that healed overnight tears again; day after day, week after week. But using the splint kept my foot in dorsiflexion position (foot/ankle upwards, calf flexed) and the muscle healed in an elongated position and therefore did not tear upon standing in the morning. It also helped me to do some GENTLE stretching/loosening up before getting out of bed and doing CALF STRETCHES throughout the day/before bed at night. Final notes: the boot seems to run a little large. I kept the size they recommended but if my foot was smaller, I would have sized down. Truly a key part in my recovery from plantar fasciitis (PF)
I usually don't write long reviews, but suffering from PF was EXtrEmelY frustrating experience for me and other reviews helped me to decide what to buy for recovering from it. I hope this review will be helpful as well. I have healthy feet, never had problems, not prone to getting blisters etc etc and am a very active person (running, crossfit, hiking etc etc.), hence being super annoyed and frustrated by getting PF. I got PF from getting a standing desk at work and standing too much. This leg brace was a key element in my recovery from PF. This brace is light, soft and highly adjustable. I chose to wrap the middle strap across my foot down around my foot (see picture). This way it is most effective for me and I can keep the other straps loose enough and comfortable. I wear this brace without the provided splints. I got used to wearing it pretty quickly as compared to the other popular braces here on Amazon that are more of the solid hard plastic type (I sent them back immediately). I don't think that this brace is the only thing that will lead to recovery, but I truly experienced it to be a key element. I am listing all the other things I did more or less regularly during my recovery. - ultrasound therapy (1-2 x week) - stopped walking around barefoot at home (I am wearing Birkenstock sandals at home) - massage with ball (the usual suspects you can find on Amazon and I like the one that came with this brace) - deep tissue massage calve with massage gun *youtube how to make your own massage gun using a jigsaw for $18* (I had some very tight spots in my calve muscles that my massage therapist found, these tight spots translate into your plantar fascia) - stretching calve 5 - 10 min - naproxen 2 tablets in the morning and 2 tablets in the evening for 2 weeks (talk to your doctor for your correct dosage) - massaging/scraping painful plantar fascia area with rounded edge tool, such as handle of a spoon - 15 min icing sessions 1-2x daily - orthopedic custom insoles (super expensive!!!) probably not too necessary, although mine helped me to never get back to pain levels I had before getting them. All of the above was helpful to feel an uphill trend towards recovery, but again, this brace was really a key element. And the explanation is simple. The brace keeps your plantar fascia stretched over night. This prevents it from re-tearing each morning when you step out of bed and stretch your foot. Everyone who has PF knows the sharp pain of the first steps in the morning; a classic symptom for PF. By wearing the brace and stopping the re-tearing process each morning, your plantar fascia has just a faster way to heal. Hope this review helps some of you. Be patient. I am pain free for the past week and my goal is to give it at least a month of being pain free before I start my running routine. And, I still keep wearing this brace for a couple more months.

Fix your plantar fasciitis with this boot
I've had plantar fasciitis twice in my life and both times what really fixed it was sleeping in one of these boots for 6-8 weeks. I know that sounds like a long time, but I grimaced and ached and complained for much longer before getting the boot. Personally, I prefer a boot with the rigid portion along the bottom of the foot and back of the leg (like this boot). I found the boots that are rigid along the top of the foot and front of the leg (most of what I see on Amazon) did not hold my foot as secure as it allowed my heel to swing side to side.. My original boot from the first time I had plantar fasciitis (25 years ago) became like a child's wobbie and I wore until all the fabric rubbed off. It just felt comforting at night and I had a longstanding dread of the plantar fasciitis coming back. This reviewed boot was my second boot. It fixed the problem, but I found it much more bulky (hence the 4 stars) than my original boot (no longer available). Still it did the trick for me and I only wore it about 6 weeks. All that said, I'm not a doctor and your circumstance may require a different approach. But for me, this type of boot did the trick twice with 23 years in between and over a year since my last bout.

These are very comfortable to wear and definitely do what they are supposed to do: relieve plantar fasciitis pain. Getting out of bed in the morning without having to worry whether I could actually walk or not is simply priceless. Just make sure to use it for a while to help in the long run, even though you will literally feel almost 100% after one night's use.

Omg this is perfect product I have to wear a cast for 3 months but it constant rubs causing sore and you have to wear a shoe that dosent fit and when standing always in the middle of the night too or I would slip on the cast I have a dropped arch and just had my ankle joint removed The consultant has decided not to repair the dropped arch But found this product amazing The heel is so spongy it bounces the heel back up so no pressure on my painful heel too There are wedges to place taking pressure off the arch amazing It also fits a good size leg as mine has swollen due to operation having my foot with a fixater too Wish I had found this earlier I’m going to wear it all the time now
