VIM Tools XZN400 Triple Square Spline Driver Set

I recently purchase a VW make auto and was for the first time introduced to this type of tool when I needed to make repairs to a door. I needed a specific size but I am always happy to buy more tools so I can do more jobs. I decided to buy the whole set and I am glad I did. This set is great, I have lots of many brand name tools and I am very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of these bits. They are heavy and sturdy. The fit is tight and right. Since my project with the door I have used them in many places on my car needing many sizes. I only wish my VW was as reliable and well built as these bits. Very happy.

These are pretty nice for the money, and overall I'm happy with how fast the tool arrived and their overall quality. HOWEVER: I bought these because of another review on here that said they could be used to replace the rear brake carriers on my VW Jetta. (2010) After receiving this set of tools and trying to remove the brake carrier, I found the 14mm triple square is too long. This set WILL NOT work to remove the brake carrier bolts on MKV Jetta, the tool is too long! You need a shorter tool to remove the upper triple square bolt. Save yourself the time of ordering two different tools like I did!

Hi all, it's a nice set of 3/8" drive ratchet sockets/bits that are not easy to find anywhere local, even in a big city. This socket style is known by many names. These are the long version of sockets for those who need to work with a fitting called triple square, xzn, polydrive or 12 point spline drive.They worked well to remove the fasteners on the inner end of the axles on my 2004 VW Jetta. They will work with all the European fasteners of the aforementioned type. I went to the manufacturers website at [...] and, after reading, was under the impression these tools were made in California.Apparently they are made in Asia, but seem to be made of ok quality regardless. ...

The triple square is a unique tool bit that is not reallycommon at all. If you have ever worked on VW brake systems,you will need this tool set! Imagine yourself deep in a rearbrake job trying to replace the rear rotors and realize... howam I going to remove these funny looking bolts to get the rotoroff? The XZN bolt heads require the triple square socket to removethem. So... if you are going to work on german vehicles, then get thetriple square spline bit set by Vim. They are built like awesomegerman cars!

XZN Triple Square, Spline Drive Bit Set has proven to be of good quality I Recondition Japanese automotive engines for a living. Many of them have Triple Square, Spline Drive Head bolts that torque to 40 foot pounds plus a 90 degree turn and another 90 degree turn. Breaking these head bolts loose in the core engine takes twice the strength as that as installing the new head bolts.This tool set fits the head of the bolt correctly, with stands these extreme torques, and does not strip out the head bolt. I had tried another cheap set like this I purchased at a local auto parts store. They just stripped the sides off the bit. I was scared that I had messed up the head bolt so I wanted to make sure I had the best I could find. I read the reviews here and ordered them. The tool performed exactly as I needed it to. I was able to removed the last three head bolts with ease.
