Travelpro Plaitnum Elite-Regional Underseat Duffel Bag

I was doing a really intense search for the perfect under seat bag. This has so many great features for fitting various things in a small space. The quality is just as good as the much more expensive ones I had been looking at. It is so well-made, it looks very durable, stylish, and easy to use.

Great quality. Great well thought out design. Bought for my wife after researching a lot. Worth the money. We bought the duffel in conjunction with same brand onboarding travel suitcase to roll and carry duffle. What a great combination, no more checking in suitcase. Classy and hood lifetime value. Love it.

More and more I fly on regional jets with tiny bins, even for multi-hour flights, and there's often not space for rollaboards. Desperate, I looked at a number of different options and settled on this. I had my doubts but it really is fantastic. First of all, it's bigger than it looks. I just did a 2-night trip with this as my only luggage and fit everything in with room to spare. And now, having travelled with it, I think I could easily do 3 or 4 nights. The number of pockets is amazing, pockets of different sizes, and most importantly, the pockets don't eat into the main compartment space like I've seen on other luggage. I carried it with handles sometimes, and the strap the rest of the time. It's a little pricey but finally allows me to have confidence that my carryon will fit, when the planes are small.

I purchased this as a second bag to take on my trip to Italy. I have a carry on by travelpro I have used for years. Their suitcases are extremely well made. I am back from my trip and can easily recommend this. I can see me using this as a weekend bag as well as a since bag on a longer trip again. It is very stylish also which never hurts.

The padded tablet pocket does NOT fit a full size iPad or laptop. It would fit an iPad Mini. I just use it for my phone. Other than that, it’s great. I’ve been searching for a duffel that fits under the seat that has exterior pockets for items I want to access mid flight. Why? When trapped in a window seat and can’t get quick access to the overhead bin, it’s useful to have access to your earbuds, phone, charging cord, book, wallet, etc. because if often cancelled flights, I always travel with a full set of clothes and toiletries just in case I end up spending an extra day in layover. I prefer this to a carryon roller because I want access to my stuff mid flight, and I hate juggling two rollers plus a personal bag when I’m outside the airport. Most personal bags are brief bags with divided compartments which don’t allow you to easily fit a full extra set of clothes. Only something like a duffel does, and most duffels are too big to fit under the seat or lack any decent exterior pockets. I’ve tried many other brands first such as Tumi, but nothing came close to this as far as size or functionality. I do wish it was slightly sturdier and higher quality to a Tumi level, and would have gladly paid more for it if it was. Overall it fits my needs and I’m satisfied
