But, it actually has information I can use with very basic equipment. Well defined growing conditions for lots of mushrooms. Numbers! Glorious numbers.

It is possibly the most complete work on mushroom cultivation available at the time. It is a text book not a hand on manual, although you can probably find an answer to any of your question concerning how muschroom are cultivated. The mushroom farmer's bible. Just like the bible it's a big piece.
