Samson Technologies-SAGM1UPRO Samson G-Track Pro Professional USB Condenser Microphone with Audio Interface

I needed a USB mic for recording audio text. I bought three of the "best seller" mics (range 150 - 200 USD) and tried all of them. They all had a similar audio quality, which was good. However, for all of them, the sound seems to be digitally filtered, loosing some of its natural depth. Maybe the filtering is needed to reduce pops and background noise, as all of them have a clean output with no pops. For me, the recording is done at home with no special setup. I do my recording via the browser. Even though the room is generally quiet, I have background noise coming from the AC and such. As a last trial in achieving a better recording quality, I bought this one (as I used to have the mini samson mic before). Once I tested it, it was immediately obvious that this mic is different. I asked others to compare its sound with my previous mics, and they all agreed to my conclusion. This mic keeps the audio as is, with minimal filtering. This comes with a price, as you have more pops and some base noise. However, this is easily addressed by using a foam mic cover. I am really happy that I tried this mic. It stood out in terms of preserving the natural sound of the recorded audio as is. This mic should be more popular, given the quality of its recording.
