MESIKA Premium Comfort Foam All-Purpose 10 MM Extra Thick Yoga Mat + Carrying Strap (BLACK)

I just received this mat tonight and was so excited to have but was quickly let down. I opened it and could feel the texture and knew I'd love it. It's the right thickness and it feels like it won't be slippery when ur sweaty. The length is good too. But I found that mat was damaged - a cut into the mat in a location on the front of the mat that will be so annoying bc it's bound to get worse as I use it. It came like that from the manufacturer as the packaging was not damaged at all. It also has these two spots of dirt that I need to scrub off. You could see both the cut and spots in the attached photo. They need better quality control! Not sure how easy the return process is but knowing me, I probably won't return it because it's a hassle. But it's really upsetting to pay for something - that's not cheap - only for it to be damaged. I'll have to buy another one from Ross or Marshalls, which I wish I had done in the first place. If it weren't for the cut, I'd have given this mat 5 stars.

I absolutly love this yoga mat, the best one I have purchased thus far. Its very comfy with plenty of cushion when doing all yoga positions. The only disappoinment is someone stole my strap that came with it....@Yoga class and the mat keeps unrolling all over the place. I cant seem to find a strap that fits. But other than that, I love the mat!

This mat is just the right size both height and width for me. I use it during ab training and cool downs for some classes I take, and not yet for yoga. I can see how the squishy-ness might make it difficult to hold a yoga pose, but for the class I take sometimes, they use two mats. I can just use this as the second. I like the thickness because otherwise there is not enough cushion when I have to be on elbows and knees. It no longer feels like I'm actually just laying on the floor and the mat is simply a barrier between me and the dust and dirt of the floor. This mat actually makes that part of working out much better. I deducted a star because while I really do like it, I have noticed that it has indents and conforms easily to whatever it is laying against (or even the pattern in that carry handle thing), and I feel like it will probably get nicks and cuts easily. Not sure there's a way around that, but it probably shouldn't have come with a few already there.

Slippery on a hard surface. Cant use it.

Very thick and comfortable mat, however using it in my yoga class on hard wood floors is nearly impossible. It slides around too much. Ended up giving it to my husband as a mechanics mat.

Bought for family member. Better than a previous one bought. Leaves permanent imprints, but I suspect all "thick" mats would. Overall, so far so good. For the price, it's worth it. (2 months and counting).

This is a great yoga mat. It does have a bit of a smell at first, but soon it dissipated. the thickness is great on my tile floor. I don't slip when I'm sweaty. The stretchy strap that comes off completely and is not connected to the mat or have velcro is perfection. I've only had this mat for two months now, but it gets used 4-5 times a week, and I'm very happy with this purchase.

Extra thick and comfy. However, I can see how this mat might tear over time. When I slide across it into moves, I pull the thick spongy top layer across and away. I have to be careful not to pull it to the point of tearing. I will have to see how it lasts over time.
