Very Disappointing Pan
I was looking for a nice size roasting pan to help my mom cook when I visit her several times a year. This one seemed to fit the bill, especially size wise and as an added bonus came with a roasting rack.I had read many of the reviews, and as with all items reviewed on Amazon there are always a smattering of bad reviews even if most are positive. So let me give you the reasons for my low rating:1: As several others have stated this in NOT a 16" x 13" pan. An advertised pan, whether it be a roasting pan, cookie sheet, etc. are always measured from it's inner most (cooking area) dimensions. Even cheap pans bought at the $ store measure internally correctly. This is a 14 3/4" x 11 3/4" pan. The 16" x 13" dimension measure from outer lip to outer lip. Keep this in mind as you will be getting a smaller pan then advertised.2: One of the side handles on mine does not stay in the up position. It keeps falling down making it difficult to remove the pan from a hot oven. I tried everything possible to keep it to stay up and it doesn't work. It is also difficult to grab these handles with oven mitts. You must use pot holders.3: Although advertised as "Stainless Steel" this pan stained after only 1 gentle hand wahing with a soft sponge. I tried using my mothers expensive stainless steel cleaner which she uses on her appliances and it would not remove the staining. If in fact this is stainless steel it is of a very low grade. This pan is still functional for what my intentions are and I don't feel like being annoyed returning it. I would really suggest buying something else other then this.I am really not a perfectionist or a cooking connoisseur but this pan really annoys me.Hope this review helps someone.

Rust after one use
I had such high hopes for this roasting pan. I bought it a couple months ago but had not gotten around to using it. I cooked a pork butt roast in it last weekend and was so pleased with the size and fit for my oven. That is until I washed it. Once it cooled, I washed it. The rack was easy to wash with no problems at all. The pan however, looks like it developed rust spots. I hand washed it with a gentle sponge and Dawn so nothing harsh. I noticed a few spots that remained. It felt like the finish had come off. After it dried, I could tell it was rust. Such a shame because this is exact size pan I've been looking for.

Hasn't Rusted or Flaked, Heats Food Evenly. Good Roasting Pan.
Over the last couple months we've made tuna casseroles, lasagnas with no tomato stain or acid damage when left in the refrigerator for a week, and used this to create cement from forgotten potatoes (sorry, not a cook by any stretch of the imagination). The pan cleans up nicely with a net scrubber. Even if left overnight to soak it hasn't rusted or flaked. It doesn't scratch badly even when a guest used a metal serving spoon instead of a plastic spatula on it. It's big enough to roast a turkey in, or to create a week's worth of frozen dinner portions for two people. The handles are a great touch if you're like me and hate wrangling a slippery, heavy pan out of a hot oven. The handles fold down in case you need the room to store it. Dependable, good looking pan that doesn't make me want to toss it into the yard and order pizza. It cost less than our last one that started flaking within weeks. Remove the rack and flip it over for a great place to cool cookies or bread. Get one, you'll like it.

excellent value for good quality roasting pan
The metal is good enough. It is not heaviest, but the bottom does not flex or such. I would trust my usual 10-15 lb bird in it. The handles are also light duty, but then, I don't need cast, riveted handles and pay a lot for them. This is also metal only and no non stick surface. I follow a recipe that calls for browning at 500 deg, at which point the teflon turns into a poisonous gas.I already have v shaped turkey rack, no teflon on it. It came from cuisinart pan with a non stick surface. Bought it without thinking, although a good, heavy pan.

Since buying this pan we have been able to cook ...
Since buying this pan we have been able to cook meat without the greasy fat ... wings, roasts, and so on. The high sides, rack height, and handles make this out "go to" pan. And cleaning is a lot easier than the ceramic dishes. One recommendation is to liberally coat the pan with a non-stick spray. Yes, I would buy it again.
