How rigid is this organizer?

Its actually not rigid but not flimsy either. It conformed to my handbags. I love it!

Are these true to size or do i need to leave an inch allowance on either side? my tote is 12 inches in length measured from the inside. tia.

I’m shopping for a lighter one. This one’s on the heavy side. The felt is pretty thick.
