Good for touch ups.
I use this on my snooker cue to scuff up the tip to make it hold more chalk and get better control of the white, but thats about all its good for. It cannot shape a tip at all really and is not a good substitute for sand paper. It's useful to have in your case for the price, its decent but not necessary.

Works kinda? Can’t really use it for shaping a tip. Good for general maintenance but no substitute for sandpaper

Absolute waste of money
I found that this item caused more damage to my tip than shape it. A file and or fine sandpaper are what I should have stuck to.

Great Cue Mate.
Have seen these much more expensive elsewhere (over £80) and have indeed paid at least £30 for one of these a few years ago...However: this particular one is brilliant!The texture of the concave bottom scuffs the tip perfectly.Worth every penny...
