I wasn't sure if I would adapt well to a teleprompter, but it has been amazing. I was struggling as of late with my more complicated videos and this teleprompter has helped immensely. I can stare into the camera lens and read the script I wrote, which makes my videos more professional and has cut my editing time down a great deal. The name on the actual device is Keayisofine - and it has an app compatible with iOS and ANDROID. You need 2 AAA batteries for the remote (not included). You pair the remote via bluetooth and then you can control script wirelessly. The app works well has a several customizable options. My only complaint about the product is that I wish there had been clearer assembly instructions. It's not too complicated, but I always like to know if I'm doing things correctly. I watched a video on assembly and had no issues after that. The packaging was also just a plain box with the components inside - nothing pretty, but I assume it's done this way for cost savings. There are many configurations you can make with the teleprompter, but I will be only using it for my mirrorless camera and you can see the configuration I am using in the pics provided. I am using a GH5 with a 16mm lens mostly and the included ballhead and rail support it nicely. If you are using a much heavier setup, I would probably recommend getting a stronger ballhead. The one it comes with is good, but I wouldn't want to put a huge camera on it. Pergear also included a little dust blower, which is always nice to have. This is one of the more inexpensive teleprompters that I have found and it seems to do everything I would want it to do. I wish I had started using a teleprompter earlier - it would have saved me a lot of headaches.

Prima Prompter

Remote is a bit clunky, but works well enough to make a difference.
I just knocked out recording three separate videos with this thing in a very short period of time, and overall am pretty happy with it. I've been needing a teleprompter for quite some time now and thought I'd see how this one does--at it is quite a bit cheaper than most--and work from there. The REMOTE, however, is perhaps the most frustrating thing about it. Some of the buttons are of no use whatsoever, and the "wheel" button--which is supposed to allow you to adjust the speed of the moving text--doesn't really work like that. It simply allows you to advance the script in SECTIONS and that only MINIMALLY--a sentence or two at a time. You can't even simply hold down on the wheel and have it scroll rapidly back to the start, or to the end, etc. I have to MANUALLY set the speed on my phone each time, set it back in the unit, and try it again. Repeat this until I get a rhythm and speed that works. This would be MUCH easier to do if I could just adjust all of this with the remote! The remote DOES allow you to stop and start the scrolling of the script, but NOT adjust the speed; which can be a bit problematic. It also makes a fairly loud, audible "click" each time you press the button, which is fine as long as you are starting and stopping it between takes. Not a problem if you don't mind your viewers knowing that you're using a prompter, but it is if you are wanting the shoot to be smooth and not give this away.So far the app seems to work well. Had no problem downloading it, pasting my script into it, or synching it via Bluetooth with the remote. I highly recommend formatting the look and layout of the script before pasting it into the app as doing so afterwards can be a real pain and time-consuming--unless you like editing long passages of text on your phone screen. I don't!
