works great
I purchased them used (like new) from Amazon Warehouse. I paid between 42-45 bucks.I did a lot of research before purchasing these. Videos of other similar products were helpful in making my final decision. Aluminum was important versus powder coated steel. Design was important...I learned that a gutter guard that sits up in the gutter is better than a gutter guard that sits down in the gutter (like a trough).Another big selling point for me is that they can be easily removed. Aside from leaves in my gutters from several nearby trees, and next big gutter clogging items are dirt from dust storms and granules from shingles. So, I wanted gutter guards that I could remove every 10 years or so to clean-out the dirt/granules.When I took them out of the box, they were fairly flat, except for the ends...which is a necessity for shipping them in boxes that are thin. When I tried to fit one in my 5" gutters, it seemed to be a tight fit and the gutter guard got a little bent up. But it was easy to bend it back into shape. I also thought I'd try to cut one down by an inch to see if it fit any better--NOPE, don't do that. It will be too loose and will fall into the gutter, and the cuts will leave lots of tiny sharp edges that will cut-up your hands. For my installation, I learned to bend the gutter guard a little to make it concave. I did this by using both thumbs and working my way down the length of the gutter guard...quick and easy to do. Once concave, they installed like a charm. The gutter guard may snap into the lip of the roof flashing in the back of the gutter. Sometimes it snaps in, and sometimes it doesn't. The main thing that keeps them upright is the concave shape, and the fact that they rest on the gutter hangers/nails, which seem to be spaced every 3 feet or so.INSTALLATION TIP: If the end of one gutter guard extends about 2-3 inches over the gutter nail, then when you install the next gutter guard, make sure to place it on TOP of the prior guard guard, because the prior gutter guard is being held-up by that nail. If you do that, then it guarantees that the next gutter guard will not sag into the gutter. LIKEWISE, if one gutter guard extends 2 feet over the gutter nail, then when you install the next gutter guard, make sure to place it UNDER the prior gutter guard...to help prop it up.It was easy to overlap them. They look good. They work well. I've had a few good rain storms since installing them, and the water flows through the gutter guard and into the gutter...not over the gutter guard and onto the ground.I purchased these in late fall, and installed them in spring. I'm really looking forward to not cleaning my gutters this fall...!

Compare E-Z gutter guard to Hydro-Shield
I needed to install leaf guards on two different size gutters. The house has 6 inch gutters and the shed has 5 inch gutters. For the house I ordered Hydro-Shield Drop-In Gutter Guard. For the shed I ordered E-Z gutter guard. Links are below.E-Z gutter guard is much easier to work with, no sharp edges and no screws required. It is much more expensive.Hydro-Shield had sharp edges and required screws, but was less expensive. Also, if bent too much, it breaks very easily. If either of these is damaged by hail, I think I will replace them with stainless steel leaf guards.5 inch E-Z gutter guardhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BVDEXYI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=16 inch Hydro-Shieldhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09C2PPQQX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

They work great for my application
I had a little struggle with the install because of the way my roof is flashed and the overhang across about 1/3 of the gutter. After a couple of sections, I got a method that works well. I pre-curve the section toward the front to make it easier to get into the gutter. Then I'm able to flatten them and tighten them up inside the gutter. All of my trees leafy maples with no pines. I look forward to not having to dig the gutters out any more.

Very easy to install
I installed 75 feet of the E-Z-GUTTER-GUARD one year ago. They have been on the house for one year and have gone through all 4 seasons. I live close to St Louis Mo. in Illinois. I have oak, maple, pecan, crab apple and other trees around the house with some close to the house. The house has a 12-4 pitch. There are 3 down spouts in the 75 ft run. I will first comment on the installation. For me they were very easy to install. I used a stepladder to access the gutters to keep from leaning on the gutters. Some were bent but being made out of aluminum they we easy to bend back straight. They are easy to cut with a tin snips and I used a small hook to lift the back of the guard up if it slid down in the gutter too far. They do stick up and can be seen. Now for how they worked. Before I installed these guards I had to clean the gutters out at least 6 times a year; sometimes more. Now that I am 67 years old I just got tired of it, and I just hated to see in a heavy rain the gutters running over. Since they have been up (one year) I had to clean only ONE down spot out. I was amazed. They worked. In one year I have seen the house roof covered with leaves in the fall, snow in the winter and down pours of rain. In the spring time all the maple seeds. I did not blow off the seed and leaves because I wanted to do a real test. The wind took care of all of it. The heavy rain also helped. This is the reason why one plugged up. Pecan trees have a small stem with 10-12 leaves on them. When they fall the leaves fall off the stem and some of the stems slip through the wholes in the gutter guard. If you have a lot of pine trees around your house this may be a issue. I can say that they worked for me. If I did not have the pecan tree but my wife loves to make pecan pie yum yum. I recommend these very much, but do you research and see what kind of trees that you have. I am thrifty and I was not about to spend thousands of dollars to have other guards installed. I have one more thing to say....on the other side of the house I have 75 feet of a different type of gutter guard, and I have had no issues with anything of the three downspouts being plugged on that side. I am a week away from one year on those. I will then do my review on those in a week.
