Is this wire strong enough to make a "skeleton" for a clay sculpture of a standing person? I need wire that is about the thickness of a paper clip.

No, it's not. I've done some sculpting myself, but never a human form. Is this wire insulated?

No it’s not insulated.this wire gets red hot when hooked up to a power source so why would you want to insulate it.this type of wire is used in things such as hair dryers etc.

What voltage is best for this wire to reach 600*C?

I have no way of measuring the temperature of the wire. I use a BMOUO 12V 30A DC Universal Regulated Switching Power Supply 360W ordered from Amazon. I used a dimmer switch to control output to Nichrome wire. This setup was enough to make the wire glow red hot and even burn in two if adjusted too high.
