My husband was happy with it

First of all, I'm a girl. Secondly, I love boats. Get over it. I bought an old boat on the side of the road. I didn't know what I was buying, but it was on a trailer and could be great--it had an old soul. So I bought her for a song. Brought her home, sanded, glassed, sanded, painted, and did my homework. She is a 1981 Indian River 14 footer. Pretty much the only thing I can find on google about this boat is that they went to court and found to be guilty of not having enough floatation. And they refused to add more. Hence, why there isn't much info about them-they all sunk. Hence why I LOVE this product. I bought two kits. Drilled some holes in the bench seating areas--found the old milk jug flotation containers, and used them to contain the foam. Did I make mistakes? You betcha. It is a hot summer day, foam comes out of the hole like lava from a volcano. The next hole, I use way less, and it still flows like lava. And what I think happened is that the first exothermic reaction made it even hotter so it "kicked" even more. So I definitely got better with each pour. And I felt like a chemistry professor when I was done. And my baby boat floats like a champ. Yay!

Worked perfectly for me. Read some other opinions and the book that came with it. So careful of the the temperature I mixed and small batch and put it into and small measured cavity and let it come up by itself. After that I knew just what to do and it worked. Foam was hard and closed cell and trimmed off nicely with a long 18 tooth sawzall blade. The amount I ordered after reading the online advice and measuring the spaces was perfect. I had a tiny bit left for any spot I was unsure of. My experience with this and the resin would suggest better to order a little more than you think you need. Seems like there were spots I had overlooked in the first measure. And it is way cheaper to get it all done at once and a more unified job than piecemeal. Happy to recommend.
