601-660 Bonbons Yarn, Celebrate

Forgoing the microscopic size of these skeins, the yarn quality is superb. I've only ever used Coboo by LB and I hated it, so I was a bit hesitant to try these out. They work up amazingly and they feel so soft! I got Nature, which is Sport (2) weight. I wish these had an option to get them in a bigger skein as there's one color specifically I'd like to use as a border. There could be, but I'm not experienced with Lion Brand enough to really know for sure! Just keep in mind these are TINY. Barely bigger than a quarter. I knew how small they were when reading reviews/description, but it doesn't really sink in until it's in your hands, honestly. I'm not going to dock any stars for that, though, as it's just a drawback of online shopping in general. These have made me want to try more Lion Brand yarns as they're so nice to work with. No splitting, no tangling (unlike Coboo!, soft and shiny. Very happy with my purchase.

I'm not docking any stars because the size is very clearly written and they are called "bon bons" after all but I didn't quite comprehend just how small 80g of yarn is. They're really cute actually. The colors are pretty and they'll hopefully be enough for the small projects I'm going to make. Updated with a photo of a little mouse I made and the yarn that was left over for reference.

I was looking for a smaller amount of yarn for small granny squares. It says 3 ply. More like baby 2 or fingering yarn. Would have to work with 2 strands to get a 3 ply weight. Nice colors. Good color selection. It is better yarn, not like cheaper yarns that come in other amounts of small skeins. These are only the size of an egg. Looking for smaller amount of yarns, but this is ridiculous. Red Heart use to make 1/2 skeins, and 1/4 skeins. I was looking for something similar to that. You could get a lot of colors in smaller skeins. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because it was a good brand yarn.

See above for examples of how the yarn works up. The colorful bits are almost exclusively this yarn. I did run out at one point (pink, purple, and yellow) and had to supplement with another brand (pink only). The yarn is easy to work with, even with a hook that is smaller than the recommended. It has a delightful change in thickness that happens as you work. Makes it look and feel quite natural. Colors are lovely. Each ball has enough to be useful in amigurimi projects. Not sure what else it might be good for, as they are quite small.

These are adorable! They named them “bonbons” for a reason - just like those bite size ice creams, these tiny yarn mini packs are just as cute. Just realize that there is no way to knit an entire regular sized project with these. I see this collection as yarn for accent pieces, such as doll hair, knitting flowers or pom-poms. If you notice the project samples shown on the package itself are just pompons with eyes!! I agree that the package size shown in the product description photos is slightly misleading. So I’ve enclosed some pictures of the yarn with against my hands as a visual size reference. Other reviewers on this page have posted photos that show individual yarn skeins of these bonbons next to an egg for size (if you still need another visual size reference!) Another note is that different packages, can contain different YARN! Fiber choices vary, as well as, colors from pack to pack. Which is no big deal, but it is still might make a difference in your finished project so just be aware.

Great item, but be advised that the bonbons are SMALL. I was initially going to give this item a high rating given that people should read items descriptions thoroughly anyway (and it's your own fault for ordering something you don't understand), but now I'm giving it a poor rating because I don't feel it's clear from the description exactly how small they really are. This entry needs to be updated to truly show that - see the images other users have posted. I got these to make pom poms, and each skein was not large enough to make a SINGLE pom pom. For reference I had to wrap three skeins at a time to make ONE pom pom. So! Sorry to the seller for rating poorly given that it's what's described; it needs to be indicated more clearly to be taken seriously as a highly rated item.

These Lion Brand Bonbon yarns are good for when you just want a small amount of yarn to get different colors so you don't have to buy full-size skeins of yarn for each color you want to use. Go to the Lion Brand Yarn website for free patterns for the bonbon yarns. It will give you ideas for what you can make with them from color block scarves, roses, headbands, baby booties, braided necklaces, amigurumi projects, etc. Enter bonbons in the Search box and click on Go. Better yet use the following link: [...] I got more bonbon pattern results when I used it. I especially like to crochet roses to attach to anything. With these bonbon sets I get a variety of eight different colors in one pack. It gives me a means to make several different roses (Lion Brand Yarn pattern L20081) with the color packs, and not have to buy regular size skeins for each color. The name bonbons is a good name for them as they are small size skeins. Each small skein has 28 yards, 0.35 oz. I find there is enough in a skein to make small projects and the colors are beautiful. I have recommended them to all my crochet friends.

The colors are great, but the size isn’t consistent. There are fuzzy thick sections of the yarn and thinner section. The texture isn’t as it should be. It is quite rough and frizzy looking.

Very disappointed in this. Size of wool totally undersized for price.

Exilant rapport qualité prix pour ma part pelote un peux petite a mon goût attention les couleurs son légèrement plus claire que sur la photo très brillantes sertainement que je recomenderais des que j en ai le besoin J aimerais savoir si les couleurs se trouve vendu séparément
