This is a really nice pair of boots. I bought them for winter, as I have recess duty and don't want to wear my snow boots to school. Wore them out to duty and they are nice and warm! Just as good as my snow boots. There is the perfect amount of wiggle room in the toe box, so no squeezing there. On the other hand, the ankle is roomy, so they do a little bit of rubbing. I'll probably just get something to fill that space in.After a full day of duties and walking through the school halls my feet aren't the tiniest bit sore.Love my boots. Glad I bought them.

First I tried another style by White Mountain called ‘Mazed’ that had this wonderful stretchy goring as an integral part of the design ,so it didn’t look like a slim boot trying to fit a large calf , and was very happy ! Comfortable and cute ! That first pair was a little short to be considered knee high but this boot is taller and has a more riding boot look . I chose brown because it was available and I went up to a size 11 since that was all that was available at the time . Happy on both fronts ! The mazed boot that I have is a 10 and is a perfect fit while the eleven is a TEENY BIT big . The width is perfect for my 17 inch calves and I did not order the wide calf option . I added insoles for arch support and could use any sock or none at all . Will be checking back for black in this boot for certain.

I gave this 4 stars because the calves were big. Overall the fit and height were perfect. If you have thinner legs I don't suggest these boots. If you have fuller legs and calves they would fit just perfect. Don't get me wrong they were cute, to bad my calves weren't fuller. They shipped super fast.

I have always had trouble getting tall boots to fit because of my calves. I’ve had stretch material put in so I could zip them. Takes forever to break them in, blisters and all. But these boots are amazing. Soft and supple right from the get go. I have 16 inch calves and I put them on and zipped them right up! I also wear Kerrits grip tek breeches and I was still able to zip them up. They feel great, soft as butter. I bought a second pair already so I can alternate them, just like my golf shoes. I highly recommend them!!

Unable to communicate with anyone about replacing the wrong sized boot. Too bad because the size 10 feels and looks great. But the size 9 is too small obviously!!!!!

I love that these are a true dark brown, which I’ve had trouble finding. Proportionately my calves are probably not considered wide, but being 5’11” they are probably larger than a standard calf. They are snug/fitted, which is my preferred look, but not constricting. The elastic provides some give and also helps maintain the shape and look. I was able to comfortably fit these over skinny jeans. Super comfortable!

These boots are beautiful! I love how stretchy the calf part is. Looks like real high quality leather. Unfortunately they’ve started to rub against my heels so I can’t wear them when I need to walk a bit.

If you are on the fence about these boots, definitely go for it! I bought the Chestnut in my normal 8.5 size. They are comfortable, strikingly beautiful and incredibly warm. They fit the calf wonderfully with stretch and the buckles can still be adjusted.
