Will this Remote work for with the Hulu Plus, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Intant Video Apps on the Xbox ONE?

Does not work with the latest 2017 amazon video app update, The update changed the way the app works, adding to lists, selecting films require X Y buttons and other game controller based selection switches, and precludes other methods. don't know why they did that?for the rest \works no problem with Hulu and Netflix. I don not view much youtube, so i can't say anything about it.The volume controls are matched up with my sound system, . The sound system has a function that can learn what Remote Controller you have and use those signals to manage the sound..For the on/off, i use a kenict as a IR bouncer ,when the xbox goes on it turns on the sound system and the TV

Does the remote stay "on", or will it shut itself off like the controller?

It's like a regular TV remote (it's only "on" when it transmits a signal). The only difference is that if you move it the buttons light up.

No, a Kinect is not required to use this remote with the Xbox One.
