How well do the lids stay on?

They lids do snap on and stay on, however even after securing the lid all the way around it's not the sealed type where you should store anything with sauces, gravies, dressings etc. I have had some minor leakage. These containers are best used for dry foods and snacks.

Is this product made with any animal based additives?

BPA FREE & made of 100% FDA approved virgin polypropylene

Do I have to wash these before first use?

That is up to you, I personally would wash/wipe down any dish/container before putting food in it that I plan on consuming or serve to others!

What are Dimensions of 64 oz container

Sorry, I can't help with the dimensions of the 64 oz. containers. I have only ordered the 28 oz. containers which are a good size for lunches and food prep. I was satisfied with the quality and have washed re-used them many times.
