I could have only dreamed of a kit like this when I was boy. Don't be put off by the price, it's worth every penny. It's without a doubt one of the most educational, interactive and interesting projects I've come across. The kit is comprehensive and once started it opens up a realm of possibilities. This is a very well thought out piece of kit. It is complete and the sensors and actuators work really well together. The window sensor that senses rain and door that reacts to password are good examples of tying things together as a well planned system. Once you get a hang of the board, shield, motor and sensors there are endless possibilities to build projects. I downloaded the android app and It took me a few mins to wrap my head around it, but you can open and close the doors and read sensor values and all sorts of cool stuff with it. The big wooden gears are also a nice touch. All the parts are laser engraved to make assembly very easy. The house part took me an hour and 15 mins to do casually while watching youtube, but the manual has enough in it to keep you busy for a week. This is a great kit for learning to program arduino devices. It has lots of devices to connect and the wiring makes it easy to figure out. Great kit!

This smart home starter kit is really cool, this kit contains many small parts, it is very suitable for those with strong hands on ability. and cultivate children's hands on ability. There is a small fan included in this kit. Coming with complete wooden house parts, an R3 control board, sensor shield, hundreds of sensors or actuators such as LED, buzzer, relay, button module,1602 I2C LCD module and gas detection module. It's easy to assemble, fun to code. Has a very reasonable price and it is good quality made. Highly recommend!

This is a sort of smart home dolls house! It looks rather cool but is also a great educational toy. This is not a beginner's kit as you do need some prior knowledge and experience to get it set up and running. My nephew is the one who put it together and he said the components were all good quality and he had no issues setting it up. We really enjoyed trying out all the different functions and my nephew carried out a few experiments. It really is a great way to understand how a smart home works.
