TYR USA Latex Cap

Like most TYR products this one is great quality. Fits nice and covers all my hair and my ears. Does not fold up on the bottom like some cheaper silicon ones do. The design is as shown.

This swim cap came exactly as expected. It fits comfortably over my thick, long hair without feeling too tight or pulling. The USA design is super cute and bold—love the look! Great quality and performance.

My kids said that I actually don’t look completely lame with it on. Big win! It’s like I’m an Olympic swimmer. GO USA!!!

This is a great practice cap for my 11 yr old swimmer. He needed to save his team cap for competition so this will take daily usage! He is very patriotic so he was pumped to find this under our Christmas tree!

The MSRP tagged on the package is $3.15. I have purchased TYR caps before and found this to be flimsy, with poor construction and not expected to last long. The color is a faded black, not at all like the picture. It as if the cap was dipped in talc. Won't buy this cap again.Update 1/17 - I have been wearing this cap for two months. For some reason, I thought the cap was silicon. It is latex, a lighter thinner material. It fits snuggly and moves much less than silicon. It stays put through my mile swim. I am still concerned about the durability but would increase my rating as the cap stays in place better than the silicon.

I must say that I am not impressed so far by the quality since after 3 weeks of using one cap 3 times per week, cracks are already appearing at the joining section. I am living abroad, and hopefully I bought 3 different ones, but not sure I will buy this one in the future.
