Top Notch Cable Service Performance - Xfinity Compatible
I thought replacing the coax cable splitter that Xfinity installed now over 15 years ago as it was never properly water sealed and heaven knows what condition it was in. I chose this product as it was designed for cable services as well as having the same specs for splitters used by Xfinity. After installation I performed internet tests using a hard wired ethernet connection. The results were impressive. For my “up to 1 Gb” internet service the download speed was 941Mb, the fastest I’ve seen. Upload speed of 24.4 Mb was also about the fastest. Line quality was also top notch. 0% lost packets, very low latency of 81 ms, and trivial jitter of 1.4 ms. The internet speed and line quality are about the best I could ever expect. If you have cable service, and I can state based on my testing, that it is not only fully compatible with Xfinity but also delivers top end performance. All that for about $5, not bad. An installation note. For indoor use the splitter may be used as is. For outdoor use I would recommend picking up a pack of coax weather seal boots and installing them as I’ve shown in the attached pictures. When you tighten the connector, it will compress into the outer sleeve of the boot and create a watertight seal. This prevents moisture from getting into the connector and causing corrosion.

Works with Xfinity
We needed a new splitter for our high speed internet + cable installation here (Xfinity/Comcast). We had some signal dropping on both internet and cable. The old splitter was at least 7 years old so we figured it was a cheap and easy swap. (Our modem and mesh Wi-Fi hardware is all less than a year old) This splitter was easy to install and provided more stability to our internet connection (even increased the speed slightly). It works.
