Q: The top which is suppposed to be leak proof is not snug. the only time it was snug was when i got it. after one use it comes right out. advice?

I had this issue. I had them send a replacement, because the last thing i need in the morning is a mechanical failure that has my will to live for the day spilling all over the kitchen floor.

Q: Is this plastic or glass. i purchased the same item at macy's a few months ago and it is glass. it also says glass on primula website for this iteem

The pitcher is glass. That flimsy filter is plastic.

Q: Anyone know the difference between the primula pace and primula burke?

The Pace is 51oz and the Burke is 40oz. If you look at the dimensions listed for both the Pace it's bigger.

Q: What is the spin thing for? Is it just a gimmicky thing to stir your coffee or does it have a real purpose in the cold brew process?

It's a gimmicky thing to stir your coffee. But it is useful in that it can just stay in there and locks into the lid. I use whatever is handy to stir my cold brew, so I imagine without it I would end up breaking the glass by using a metal spoon.
