Will these leave creases in your hair?

It doesn't leave a crease like a regular hairband (i.e. like a straight tension band will leave a crease in your hair and you can tell where it is in your hair) but it does leave a little bit of a kink depending on how long you wear it and how wet/dry your hair is when you put it on.

Can you use it to tighten your ponytail or do you let it slide? My hair is keratin treated and very smooth, and I like it in a tight ponytail.

I just use it as a ponytail holder it doesn’t slip I have thick Italian hair!! It’s also very curly! It doesn’t hurt to wear. It goes back to normal so I can wear it again.

Are these long enough to be worn as a headband?

No they are small and kind of tight on my wrist to give you an idea of their size.

Is this suitable for children 5-9 years old?

Yes! They are stretchy but we love ours. We sleep in them bc they don't damage the hair like regular elastic ones!
