Using ink with watercolor widens the opportunities for creating remarkably dynamic contrasts. In this case, I have us a limited amount of tangerine ink to a background of grays, charcoals, and browns, which represent a late autumn environment. Just a scattering of this ink in this idea tells a story of leaves that once awed us in their color and number and now remind us by their very paucity of the glorious fall just a few weeks ago.

Even though they are dye based pigments making them highly fugitive that's nothin' UV VARNISH won't cure. The little bottle lasts forever, can be mixed with any other medium & used on any substrate, it dries down nicely, the dispersion is wonderful because a little goes a long way, the dropper is convenient, the variety of colors available is perfect, they aren't waterproof once dried like their other inks but once it gets into those fibers it's locked in. It pays to get the mixing beads or shake well before use. Highly recommend the hydrus watercolor which is opaque & waterproof once dry, the calligraphy ink is stunning & I'm obsessed with their acrylic inks which I only learned about recently but has been around a long time.

A little ink goes a long way. I've used this before for drawing and writing but I've also used India ink for staining unfinished wood which is why I purchased this ink this time. One little bottle stained an entire bamboo and wood slatted cube (all sides) side table and I still have ink left. The ink dries quickly and it's a lot cleaner and easier to use than stain. Since others are probably considering it for other projects, this ink is excellent for all ink projects and doesn't clog your pen nibs quite as much as other inks, I've found.
