not for me
It really works and gave me a beautiful color but the color didn't last long. The worst part is that my hair smelled like camp fire every time I washed my hair. It also made my hair feel really corse

It worked excellent for me
One star off because it is a bit too red for my liking, but there was no issue with it not coloring at all. I did add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to the water, which I read in many reviews of other henna products, allowed the color to adhere better. The consistency was pleasant, I don't mind the smell (it is after all a plant product), and it worked excellent. I just need to find the correct color for me. Overall I was very pleased with this brand and all it's attributes, there's 2 packs inside the box, the instructions are well laid out, has a shower cap and left my hair luxurious, soft, full and healthy. I will purchase this brand again, just in a different color, mine w=came out a bit redder than the box's picture, and more chestnut, but a real deep color, I can't tell it wasn't a chemical dye, except for the health and feel of my hair. I left it on for 90 minutes. Yes, it's a little messy and tricky, but if I managed it than you certainly can. The shower cap was a little flimsy, so I just used a bit of saran wrap and it sealed the moisture in great. Try it, it'll leave your hair glowing!Update: 1 Feb 2014The color has faded to what I wanted finally, but it took a long time, and now there's roots... The smell does linger, for weeks. I thought at first it would be ok and would wash out, but it is a bit reminiscent of a wet dog, so I would be self conscious to be in the rain or around anyone with wet hair. That is an issue. I finally realized what the texture reminds me of, goose poo, honest. So, I will try it again because there is a drought here and I have no fear of wet hair around folks, perhaps some essential oils next time? Just wanted to give you all a heads up of some of the issues I experienced now that it has basically run its course. It did color my hair, but it is not a staying color, with each wash it gradually loses more and more color, so to keep the look you would have to use it more often, then you would have to deal with the full effect of the smell and yearn to cover it. I will perhaps try a different brand and see if I get the same results, then decide if henna is really right for me, or to just go back to coconut oil to condition my hair, it certainly smells better!Update 10/9/15OK. I decided to not try this product again, due to the smell. Now, after over a year, I can give an accurate account of my full experience. Initially the henna seemed to make my hair feel wonderful, but if you stop using it, as I did, I've noticed that, for my hair, it has damaged it. Yes, I started to color it with over the counter coloring again, but I find that where my hair was treated with henna, the dye is darker and the hair is damaged. I have finally just decided to cut off all the hair that has been treated with the henna. I am almost to the end of it, and I now know why hair stylists do not recommend using henna. I liked that fact that it was natural, the results were less than stellar for me and the smell ended up being a critical factor for not choosing to continue use, as was the lasting effects on the overall health of my hair. I have decided to just allow my hair and color to be natural. Bottom line, good diet will do more for your hair health than a topical product can.

Love it.
I really like this brand. The color is pretty, natural, and good for your hair. I have long hair so i add a bit more water and more then a pinch of salt then it calls for and get my hair wet first. i tried it dry first but it was harder to distribute and the thick consistency made the application more timely. I leave it on for the two hours. Then shampoo 2-3 times condition and leave on conditioner for a few. It does not strip your hair of moisture. I did put in oil after to shine and condition further. It has a smell to the product which Is why I used the heavily scented oil. Otherwise, my hair requires several days to stop smelling like the product. (Herbs, campfire etc.) will repurchase and it works very well for me.

Item has changed. Not happy
I first ordered this February 28, 2014. It was called - Hannah Natural 100% Chemical Free Hair Dye, Light Brown. The powder was green, very easy to apply, I only needed to use half a pouch, and turned all those pesky grey hairs a nice shade of red. I was so very happy.I have subscribe and save set up to deliver every three months. Last time it was out of stock. It came this time, but was in a different box - the woman had very dark hair. Obviously, this wasn't "light brown"I decided to try it anyway. I applied it the same as I did the previous powder, but it was such a mess and I had to use both packages (four times the amount of the green powder) to fully cover my short hair. I left it on for two and a half hours, the same as before. The color is no different. My roots still show. So disappointing.I was so very happy with what I originally ordered back in February. I hope they return to the old product.

Watch out. While the henna is good quality and great for your hair, be cautious; Color came out much darker than expected.

Henna a real waste of money
Henna a real waste of money. It smells like mold, it looks like mold, it prolly even taste like mold, it leaves me wondering if it in fact is powdered mold.

Couldn't be happier!
I read henna horror stories and mulled over hundreds of reviews before taking the henna plunge. My hair was a very dully, mousey light brown with about 8% gray. My hair is very thin and I can't risk using chemical products. I use 5% Minoxidil to keep what little I have!Inside the box there were two packets. I assumed one was Henna and one was Indigo, but I think they both had the same pre-mixed contents. I washed my hair, then mixed both packs up and slapped it on. Left it on for 4 hours. The result was a healthy, shiny, earthy darker brown with a hint of dark red which can be seen in good lighting. It covered my gray 100%.People say it's very messy. I didn't really find that to be the case. I just grabbed handfuls of it and mushed it around like shampoo. I got it on my face, hands and neck, but it came off no problem. After the 4 hours, I rinsed it out in the tub, no fuss, no muss, no stains. Once it was rinsed out there was no bleeding or stained pillows. My only gripe was that the smell was very strong the first night while sleeping. The smell is not really bad, it just smells like mud, but it was very strong for 24 hours. It was a month ago that I used it, and the colour is still holding nicely. I just ordered 4 more boxes.

I cannot use regular hair dye as I am severely ...
I cannot use regular hair dye as I am severely allergic to some chemical in them. This product never bothered my scalp at all and left my hair feeling silky soft and healthy. I have used it for 3 months now and would recomend this to everyone.

Contains NO henna!!!
I was surprised to note that this product contains NO henna, just a long list of ingredients that I'm not familiar with, except for indigo. Don't want to take a chance on the results when using a product like this so I'm going back to using Colora henna. That IS a product I've had consistently good results with, I just thought I'd try something different for a change this time. Not a good idea, have to send back for a refund now. :-(If you'd like to read more about my experiences with Colora Henna, stop by: myreallifereviews . com and check out my review, with photos.
