I recently switched from using traditional shelf storage to the Akro-Mils 30136 Heavy Duty Wall Mount system for my workspace, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. Here’s a detailed review based on my experience: Delivery and Customer Service: My initial order of four sets arrived with some damage due to shipping, which was disappointing. However, the customer service at Akro-Mils was prompt and efficient in handling this issue. They replaced the damaged units quickly and without any hassle, which was a relief and greatly appreciated. Product Quality and Installation: Once the replacement units arrived, installation was straightforward. The wall mounts are built to be sturdy and can hold a significant amount of weight, which is excellent for various tools and parts. They work seamlessly with all compatible Akro-Mils storage bins, which snap into place easily and stay secure. Space Efficiency: The most significant advantage of the Akro-Mils 30136 Wall Mount system is the amount of space it saves. Previously, I used Home Depot storage bins on shelves which took up a lot of room. By switching to these wall-mounted units, I’ve saved about 75% of room, which has made my working area much more organized and accessible. This system allows for vertical storage solutions that maximize the use of wall space, freeing up floor or shelf space for other uses. Cost vs. Value: While the initial cost might seem a bit high, the value of the space saved and the efficiency it brings to organizing tools and components justify the investment. Overall Experience: Overall, I am very satisfied with the Akro-Mils 30136 Heavy Duty Wall Mount system. Despite the initial hiccup with the shipping damage, the quality of the product and the customer service were impressive. These wall mounts have transformed my storage setup, making it more organized and accessible than ever before. I plan to post a photo later to show how these look in use, but for anyone considering a reliable, space-saving storage solution, I highly recommend this system. It’s a practical investment that pays off in the efficiency and cleanliness of your workspace.

These are incredibly sturdy and easy to mount - mounting the panels to studs is strongly recommended due to the weight of just the panels, let alone the bins and anything you put in them. Hole spacing from the center to the outside is exactly 16" to match standard US stud spacing, so all you need to do is to find the stud for the center holes, drill/screw one hole, mount and level up, and your spacing will be correct for the other studs. If you take this approach, you'll use the smaller round holes on the edges vs. the larger keyed holes that are spaced around 17" from the center. (Vertical hole spacing is 6"). Obviously, they fit the Akro-Mils bins perfectly - for some other bins I had lying around, not so much, but that depends on the manufacturer as to whether they follow Akro-Mils specs.

This is our second time ordering these panels, but they varied slightly in color and the paint was chipped off where it appeared to have bubbled around the edge. Our first set of panels were great, but these are a little disappointing. We will use them anyways because its too much hastle to send them back, but will be reluctant to order them again. That is too bad.

These work great for Akro Mils Bins which is what I bought them for. 3 stars because they are EXPENSIVE. Mine came shipped with bent corners but I was able to straighten them out. Love them but way too expensive.
