Always Checked Out
This book didn't stay on the shelf. My 5th grade students have been passing it around to read. They described it as funny with a bit of spooky. I personally really like the special edition because of the cloth spine and stenciled edges.

Even though this book was clearly for younger readers, I found the stories amusing.
This series of books are aimed at younger readers, but I personally found some of them amusing and entertaining. I just reading this one (Rowley Jefferson's awesome friendly spooky stories) and actually liked it very much. Rating: 4 Stars.

Funny spooky stories - a great addition to Halloween!
We bought these books as the main party favor for our annual Halloween party for our child's class. The attending second-graders were very excited to receive a book as part of the goodie bag, and the parents appreciated it as well. Very fun and funny stories, spooky without being terrifying, large font (notebook with doodles style) - overall, very happy to have found this! At least 3 guests told us they've been able to read it by themselves, and one copy went to the classroom library as well just in time for Spooktober.

Nice Stories
I am giving this book to two young men for Halloween. I believe they will like it. One of them has been asking for scary stories. The stories are engaging without being too scary.

My Daughter is transitioning from reading picture books to novels and this is the best in between read! The stories are funny and engaging and make her pick up the book on her own terms instead of me asking! My Son who is 13 even picked that up and read it as well!
