Rowley Jefferson's Awesome Friendly Spooky Stories: From the Creator of Diary of a Wimpy Kid (The Awesome Friendly Kid Series)

We picked up Rowley Jefferson's Awesome Friendly Spooky Stories and it was an instant hit with my sons. They’re already fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and this one landed just as well for them. The stories kept them entertained, and they were laughing their way through it. It’s got that same easy, fun style that makes it a quick favorite. Definitely a good choice if your kids already enjoy the Wimpy Kid books.

This book didn't stay on the shelf. My 5th grade students have been passing it around to read. They described it as funny with a bit of spooky. I personally really like the special edition because of the cloth spine and stenciled edges.

My son (a huge fan of this series and the wimpy kid series) read the entire book in one day. Then he insisted on reading to ME at bedtime that night. We turned off all the lights and used a book light to make it "spookier". It was a wonderful experience. The stories in the book are cute. You think they're going one direction and then they twist at the end. Similar to twilight zone but for kids. It's a cute read.

We bought these books as the main party favor for our annual Halloween party for our child's class. The attending second-graders were very excited to receive a book as part of the goodie bag, and the parents appreciated it as well. Very fun and funny stories, spooky without being terrifying, large font (notebook with doodles style) - overall, very happy to have found this! At least 3 guests told us they've been able to read it by themselves, and one copy went to the classroom library as well just in time for Spooktober.

My soon to be 12 yr old son loves this book and it is kinda spooky but he likes reading it and carries it everywhere he goes. But I think he does not read it at night if you know what I mean. Haha but don't worry, it is not so scary for 10++ yr Olds.

My Daughter is transitioning from reading picture books to novels and this is the best in between read! The stories are funny and engaging and make her pick up the book on her own terms instead of me asking! My Son who is 13 even picked that up and read it as well!

My kids have always been a fan of these books. I loved it when they read it and enjoy.
