Gasket prevents leaks into the cab headliner.
Perfect fit, replaced the bulbs in my 3rd brake light and saw recommendations to replace the gasket due to leaks from the old gasket, the cutout for the fixture is in direct contact with the interior headliner.

Easy fix for leaky chevs!
Fixed the leak in my 2015 Silverado. After doing some research I learned the gasket around the rear light would degrade over time. I purchased this gasket off Amazon and the problem was fixed. Very easy to install, and have not had any issues one year later. Has survived a Canadian winter so far, very satisfied with this product.
