Best battiers ever and long shelf life. I bought a box back in 2022 to use for my TVs and streaming box remotes, and still have more than half a box left.

Having two or three batteries in a remote, a wireless guitar or a multimeter replaced by these batteries makes a huge difference in the weight of that handheld item! Awesome! And the enormous shelf life and leakproff-guarantee at least helps protect valuable tech from being damaged by battery acid corrosin - yuck! These batteries rock for low volume applications!

These are an excellent battery for very specific applications. I think a lot of the negative reviews come from people who don't exactly understand the pros and cons of different battery types, and when to use these over a standard alkaline. The performance difference between these and standard alkaline batteries really depends on the device you are using them in and the environment you use/store that device. These batteries are expensive and well worth the cost in very specific applications. For many everyday uses, you are better served with a regular alkaline like the Energizer Max. I'll discuss these uses below: Use Lithium Batteries for: 1) Devices high current draw like high performance regulated LED Flash lights, camera flashes, etc. 2) Devices that operate in extreme hot/cold environments. Alkaline batteries do not work well in cold environments, and are prone to leaking in high temperatures. These are ideal batteries for flashlights that will go in your glove box, trail cams for hot/cold weather, GPS, and other outdoor gear. 3) Devices that will sit un-used for a long period of time. Alkaline batteries can leak when left in storage for long periods of time. The chemistry in these batteries will not cause leakage, so they are great for flashlights that rarely get used but need to be ready, such as lights you keep in your glovebox. Emergency radios and other storm equipment are also great. There are plenty of applications where these aren't worth the premium over Alkaline. TV remotes, wall clocks, computer nice and keyboards, and other low-power daily use devices come to mind. My experience has been that the increased performance of these batteries is not noticable in these kinds of devices and it really isn't worth the added expense. Two other things to note. First, the initial voltage is slightly higher than standard alkalines. This usually isn't a problem but some devices may be sensitive to it. As the batteries run down, the voltage slowly drops. Second, these are noticably lighter weight than standard alkalines. Great for equipment you carry around all day or take on hikes.
