Works, so I’m happy
It’s definitely not the strongest plastic remote but it’s not so brittle that it will break in your hands.I’d guess it wouldn’t last 1 fall though, but it works perfectly (all the buttons)So I’m fine handling it with “kids gloves”

Works as advertised
Like the ad says, works with z680 but can not be used to switch between input sources. All other functions work, but like the other reviewer comment notes, the buttons feel a little bit flimsy. ( Seems that slightly different pressures needed for different buttons ). If your original remote is bad, this is the way to go, as long as you don't mind getting up to change the source inputs at the base unit. ( The seller does note that above ).

Works but falling apart already
After just a day of minimal use, the controller is splitting in half. It doesn't stay together on one side of the controller. Buttons get stuck too.

Works correctly...very poor build/parts quality.
All of the buttons work so it is better than a non-working original remote. That is the only plus. The plastic case came with a 1/8" gap on the right side. The case just wouldn't fully close.I chose to open it up and see if there was something in the way. I found that there are exactly zero mounting points. The circuit board is held in place, horizontally, by the LED at one end and the battery clips into the battery compartment at the other end. It is held in place vertically by a few plastic posts on the bottom case and pressure from the uppercase upon the rubber switch pad. The rubber switch pad is held in place by the holes through the top piece. The reason for the incomplete closing is a bad molding in the upper piece. A 'clip' is mis-shaped--a product of a low quality molding process. The only solution is to tape it shut. The second case issue is the battery clip. The clip is too weak, probably because the plastic is so cheap, that it will not hold the battery door shut. I placed a small piece of rubber into the clip 'slot' and it remains closed now.The case defects are an indication of very poor quality control and/or very low quality parts--likely both. This is the reason for only three stars.

Works so well, I forgot it's not the original
I've hauled my Logitech Z-680 speakers from house to house every time I've moved since 2003. Last year, I got fed up with the cheap, tinny sound bar we were using on our TV, and decided to dig out the old Logitech speakers and put them to good use. Everything hooked up just fine, but for the life of me I couldn't find the remote control. So I checked Amazon and saw that this one was supposed to work well enough as a replacement. Let me tell you, it has worked so well that I totally forgot I've been using a 3rd party remote until just now when Amazon prompted me to write a review for it. So there you go, five stars.Granted, I don't get fancy with my speakers. They're just hooked up to the TV and I haven't had to fiddle with any settings since then, so I'm just using it for power and volume. But hey, nice and simple, and working perfectly.
