I recently repainted the black hood of my car (bc/cc). First, I wet sanded from 1500 to 3000 Trizact, then proceeded to buff and polish. I've been using the 3M perfect-it system for years but for this project, decided to give the new Meguir's Utra Speed system a try. I used a combination of Meguir's M110 and M210. These are designed to be used with dual action and/or rotary polishers. For the first pass, I needed it to be bit aggressive, so I used a Devilbiss rotary buffer, attached an orange 6.5" microfiber cutting pad and used M110 Ultra Speed Compound. I made the first pass in 2 sq ft sections. After this pass, wiped off excess with micro cloth. I then switched to a dual action (DA) sander and attached the same 6.5" microfiber cutting pad and continued to use M110 and did another pass. I feel the second passes using a DA helped to rid of possible swirls early in the process. After this pass, wiped off excess with micro cloth. Next, I attached a Meguiar’s 6" DA Foam Polishing Disc (yellow) to the DA and used M210 Ultra Pro Finishing Polish. I ran passes as before, wiped off excess with micro cloth, and that's it. The results were phenomenal - and so easy to obtain. I understand the new Meguir's Ultra Pro system utilizes new technology. It truly is pretty much dummy-proof. I simply applied the material, buffed or polished with no pressure. The remaining material wiped off easily and left behind an amazing deep shine. To me, this was much easier than the using the traditional 3M I've used for decades. I was very impressed and highly recommend to novices, hobbyists, and professional detailers alike. Good stuff.

I bought this product for use on my 2011 GMC Acadia Denali to fix the dreaded touch car wash clear coat damage (deep swirls and scratches), along side the Meguiars Diamond cutting compound it did the trick. Used on a D/A polisher and a 6” selection of pads. The cost was relatively low but it provided that quality finishing touch. This was finishing polish and it got rid of the haze from the cutting. Would recommend this product!

Do yourself a favour. This product with some towels/soft pads got rid of all my swirls/holograms/haze but dabbing and hand wiping/circular motion. No need for the polisher. Excellent product. Will be my go to. Need to clay the car then hand apply with compound First.

First, I'll start with my mistake. This was done on my 30yr old 300ZX. My first pass on the hood with my Porter Cable DA & a Blue LC pad was problematic as the polish kept drying out prematurely and it was a royal pain to wipe off. I did this in the garage on a warm day out of the sunlight. I initially couldn't figure out why it was so problematic. I used a Blue pad because my black paint is extremely soft and I wanted to make sure I didn't make any new swirls. This was my mistake. Rubbing profusely with a premium microfiber to get the polish off the paint left more swirls. The Blue pad was too soft and soaked up the majority of the polish - prematurely drying out the remainder on the paint. I switched to a more aggressive/firm LC White heavy polishing pad. This did wonders and made the polish a dream to work with. A few passes in a 2x2 area on 4 1/2 speed yielded excellent results with easy removal. My 30yr old paint looks better than new with nearly 0 imperfections. Check List: -Ensure paint is 100% clean prior to polishing. -Shake bottle vigorously prior to applying. -Polish in a shaded area. -Use a premium microfiber cloth - not the cheap Amazon ones. I used an Adam's polish cloth which you can purchase on Amazon. Best microfiber I've ever used. -Do not use a fine polishing or jeweling pad. They will soak up the majority of the polish and leave dry residue on the paint making it painful to remove. I'd recommend the White LC pad - even on soft paints. It's not a cutting pad but does have a very light cut/heavy polish ability. -Work with your DA until it becomes translucent and wipe off immediately. -Check your work with a halogen light to ensure you're removing swirls/marks. This polish is amazing. The photos tell everything. And this was before I sealed it.
