Good Quality Feeder!
Just got this feeder installed and I'm impressed. The tool-less assembly is really nice. Once set up the tripod is secure and very sturdy. Got it set up and programed easy easy. I like the three different motor power settings, I can keep it set on low and keep the corn in a concentrated area. In the video, I have it set to low. So far, I have no issues with the corn jamming the feed try as others have stated ... maybe they were using a weak battery? Would have been nice if a battery and charger were included, but for the price, its not a big deal to have to order separately. Found it strange that there are about a dozen bolt holes to clamp the hopper halves together but they only give you three bolts and wing nuts. Seems plenty secure with three but my OCD would like to have used all the holes.

Great feeder with a bunch of great features
This feeder is really great! I initially thought I had a bad unit because I couldn't get the display to come on. I went as far as getting another new Moultrie rechargeable battery and a Duracell 6vdc battery. When none of these fixed the problem, I sent a message to the seller (Kevin from "Treat your boat right") saying I thought I might have a defective unit. Kevin sent back a very nice & professional response stating that another buyer had a similar problem and determined that the battery & solar recharger had to be connected in a specific order (battery first, then the solar recharger), further he stated that if the battery was currently hooked up to remove both the battery & charger cable for at least 10 minutes to allow the residual power to dissipate before hooking the battery & charger back up. I know that I hooked up the solar panel first to begin with (because getting that little rubber bushing for the solar plug back in the unit is a real pita. So I unhooked everything waited for awhile - more than 10 minutes - and hooked it back up battery first then solar panel. Success, display started working, was able to set everything up and verify that it was working correctly. Besides that very small glitch this unit is GREAT (I would guess that this is probably very common - and no where on Moultrie's site or in the owners manual was there a solution posted that I could find) this unit is GREAT. Watched a squirrel trying to take on the electric "fencing" used on the actual mechanism, funny - feeder 1, squirted 0 (& P'd Off. Thanks again Kevin for the solution!

A really great, durable, and low cost feeder
Easy to put together and with built in timer your ready to set it up anywhere. It holds three bags of corn maybe a little more. For the money and durability it should last a long time. Other reviews spoke of clogging corn. I haven’t t had that trouble at all. It slings corn right on time every time.

Bad Product Development - Just Because You Can Add Programming Features Doesn't Mean You Should
The Good - The hopper and legs are sturdy and assemble easily. (Identical to my 3 year old Moultrie feeder) The Bad - 1) Uses a 6 volt battery which is almost impossible to find these days. I finally found one at Ace Hardware for a little more than the cost of a 24-pack of AA's. 2) Frustrating interface - 2 buttons and 4 separate arrow keys... imagine pressing the program button followed by the up or down arrow followed by left or right arrows. Now repeat... multiple times while you're squatting under the feeder. 3) Timer is capable of 10 feeding times from 1 to 60 seconds on any day of the week. In my neck of the woods, Deer haven't mastered calendars or watches, so this is superfluous. 4) Have to set the amount of feed you have put in the feeder, The only possible reason for this is so that when it thinks it's out of feed, it no longer works, thus saving the battery. Why have this feature? I'm not going to get on my hands and knees to see what my remaining estimated feed is. I'm going to unscrew the lid and look into the top of the feeder. 5) The motor speed has 3 different settings. Once again, why? With all of the over-programmed features in this timer, it's obvious that someone in product development has never been deer hunting before. Or, they ranch hunt where someone else sets the feeders up, tracks the wounded deer, cleans it, etc. The Ugly - I went through the 9 steps to program the feeder and tested it. It threw feed for the test and exactly one programmed time after that. Repeated 9 programming steps and successfully tested feeder with same result...it threw feed at one programmed time only. Repeated process again with the same result. Keep in mind that this process happened over a series of days. Went on line and read the troubleshooting documents. Went back out to the feeder and did everything listed in the troubleshooting docs. Same result...it threw feed once. Online chat with Moultrie gave me the same directions as the troubleshooting docs. Now it was time for a phone call. The guy on the phone said I needed to call him back when I was at the feeder so we could try more troubleshooting tricks. Obviously, these guys don't understand that cell service and deer habitat aren't mutually inclusive. In my case, I do have cell service, and when I called Moultrie back I got a nice lady who didn't ask any questions, just set me up with a replacement motor and timer. Actually, I asked for a motor and timer that's on my other older feeder (4 AA batteries, 4 timers, 1 program button and two arrow buttons) and Moultrie delivered that to my house as a replacement. They did not want the broken timer back. Evidently the Moultrie Pro Hunter II is a piece of junk because they're now up to a Pro III on the Moultrie website. Don't buy one of these unless you just want a place to store corn. This gets one star because the hopper and legs are great. The timer / motor are junk and Moultrie is employing product development people who don't know the slightest thing about deer hunting or deer hunters. Check the pics, particularly the 9 programming steps.

Great feeder for the money.
Pros: Easy to fill. Has lot of available settings and 3 different motor speeds. Has a wide foot print so it would be diffacult to tip over. Except a bear.. Cons: the Tree rats will eat it in a wooded area. I've build a protective slip on wire cover for mine because I've seen what squirrels do to feeders. I will also be making a motor critter guard also. But Moultrie make one for about 35 bucks. So far it's been in this patch of woods or about 3 weeks and it works perfectly. The deer are enjoying it for sure.

Great feeder
This feeder has been working well and runs efficiently on a single charge. The electrified cage keeps the varmints away and it has multiple settings to allow for tuning the feed times. Holds a large volume of corn and I only have to fill it once every couple of months

Love these Moultrie Feeders
Love this feeder. Lots of settings, easy to use, easy to put together, easy to set up in the field. We have a six foot and an eight foot. Eight footer takes a ladder to fill. Otherwise, love them both.

Even with multiple new batteries motor doesn’t spin freely. Not sure where to go from here. Will likely try to contact the manufacturer.

Raccoon can and will climb it . They use the guard and then think it’s circle de soleil but cannot get to the corn . They don’t all climb it so I hope the one that’l does gets the hint from the barbed wire he should stick to ground performances,
