Happiness is a Quilter amp to alleviate the weight problem
Plenty of controls to easily dial in the sound you're looking for. It is compact and light and I like the slanted design of the cabinet. I've only used it at home so far so I can't tell whether it will hold its own against others volume wise. The effects loop works as expected. Although I don't always need to use the mic input, it is nice to have, when I do. I also own the small Quilter head which also works very well with the effects loop.

Great amp
Owned an Aviator for a few years. Except for a little white noise it has been perfect. Wanted anther 12 inch but with the extras and enclosed back like this one. Dead quiet on "stand by" and is every thing I had hoped. Even came a day earlier than estimated...Chicago to northern Ca... ordered Friday arrived Monday.

1st impressions are very good!
43 years experience from HS jazz band to playing in variety bands, weekend warrior classic rock bands, plus one blues band. Main equipment: St Blues Strat, Godin HSS, PRS '86 Custom 24. Amps: 76 Fender Deluxe, 65 Traynor YB1, 73 Marshall non master volume. As you see I love tubes, (Old tubes), usually driven by a tube screamer and a RAT fuzz, wa, chorus, analog delay.Just received a used mach 2 with the Celestion 80 and the 6 switch foot pedal. 1st impressions from looking it over, then playing it at a medium level in the living room (I'm fully aware bedroom and living room experience doesn't always relate to a gig worthy experience but I have my clues), using the HSS guitar, and no stomp boxes. I found the controls very intuitive and quickly dialed in adequate to very good separate clean channel, dirty rhythm, and tube screamer like "cream" over drive for the boost. First impressions, very satisfied with all 3 modes. Now to the vibrato: Good, I couldn't fault it compared to my memory of the deluxe (my favorite vibrato). Note : I haven't ABed to my other amps so simply going by my very fussy tastes. Digital reverb: Very good! In my opinion as good or better than spring reverb, with 3 instead of one control. Now the limiter: Since I only recently accepted a compressor in my pedal board for clean lead boosts I haven't developed an ear for good compression. But from the 5 minutes I played with the limiter I didn't find it helpful for my crunch rhythm or distorted lead tone (I already felt enough natural compression from the distortion), but I do believe the limiter will fill bill for smoothing out my clean leads and finger picking.Overall 1st impressions: Very easy to find my sounds! And in my experience from past failed experiences with new gear that didn't cut it,if I have to tweak and tweak the settings to just get to an acceptable level, I'll never get it to a satisfying experience. I'm a techie so it's not from intimidation, it's the fact if it's mediocre to start it's at best barely adequate in the end. My 76 Deluxe : Adjust volume, bass, treble. Done! Rock out and enjoy the lovelyness.VS My experience with a all tube VHT Pit Bull, line 6 pod, Vox digital modeler pedal, 82 Fender Concert Rivera designed 2 channel amp, (all of which I owned), plus many trials of equipment in the music stores. Tweak tweak tweak all you want, if it's not there, and you know you understand it,it's NOT there!I'll try to come back to this review once I get a chance to do a jam session or gig with it. But 1st impressions? I really like it! And the old tube vs solid state argument (and yes I'm a major contributor to the all tube hype), this amp truly sounds better than many many models of all tube amps. Better than all of them? I doubt it, But at $1000 list plus all the built in effects, 100 to 200 watts of power, at only 27 lbs (21 lbs with neo HD speaker) I'm certain it's at the top if not on top of the heap for bang for the buck. It could be the best overall guitar amp for all styles except for maybe metal (but even for metal the only addition might be one favorite fuzzy stomp box).So far the only thing I'd nick it for is a little more white noise hiss from the power amp section than some studios would approve of. I believe my tube amps may be quieter, but they have just been refreshed by my favorite tech. Tubes can be very hissy. I'll probably ask quilter about it if it is a bother. So far I've read their customer service is excellent. And the one question I phoned to them they got back to me in 20 minutes. Yes! They actually called me back! Not a text or "please use the chat line", they called! Lol.

Sound Is Very Good And It Feels Right
I shouldn’t like this amp. I’m a tube purist. I own the holy grail—a 66 Princeton Reverb. I also have a Clark Beaufort (57 Deluxe Clone). My amps have new old stock tubes. I even have Bugleboys in my Ampeg Gemini. I spent an hour at a local store playing this amp and it is every bit as enjoyable as my Princeton. I had the amp in the Scoop mode with both the Tweed and Brown settings and it’s working for me. Now I don’t do high gain so I don’t know about that end of it so check elsewhere for that review. My point is that my ‘51 Nocaster replica Fender sounds really good through it. It also feels right. It has this softness and sweetness in the tone that feels right under my fingers. My current pedal setup for the Princeton/Deluxe combination (stereo) is a Mythical Overdrive —> Kingsley Jester —> Neunaber Wet (usually the hall reverb). Most of my low volume drive is coming from the Kingsley which does edge-of-breakup really well. My point is that I’m getting a very close experience with just the amp itself. This just doesn’t seem possible. I’m having to rethink a lot of things.Oh, and I like the styling and the light weight.

Awesome little amplifier
Freakishly loud and only 19 pounds. Surprisingly warm tone (not tube and not digital but class D - not sure what that is but it really sounds good) . Nice reverb. I've been bringing this amp to gigs and open jams for the past 4 months and at every event guitar players come up to ask me about this amp. I have some really terrific amps including a Tone King Meteor and a Carr Sportsman but I keep reaching for this one - it's so easy on my back and it sounds great. I have even been leaving my pedal board at home - I miss a few of the effects but with the foot controller (costs extra but worth it), I can access great clean and distorted sounds without a distortion pedal. I rarely write reviews but this is an awesome product.

Great sounding amp on it's own.
I use this amp for gigs of all sorts. It holds up and sounds good. I use pedals and don't mess around with the effects except the reverb which is excellent. I run my pedals into channel one on the front and they all sound good. One of these days I will mess around with the other sounds and effects in the amp itself. Right now it does the job I need it to do so I am very happy with it.
