Great way to get started playing something if you are as inept with music as I am. I have tried to learn other instruments in the past and just have never really stuck with anything. but in a matter of a few days I learned three songs from tabs by heart and have a blast just grabbing the canjo and picking. It also taught me a lot about diatonic fretting and gave me a boost into turning strums into melodies.C.B. Gitty makes a hell of an instrument, their craftsmanship is above board and I will buy from them again as I graduate up to a CBG.

My husband loves musical instruments and was shopping around for banjos. Unfortunately they are a bit more than we wanted to shell out at the moment. I found this canjo, read through the reviews and had a good laugh with my husband....it's a can on a stick! The reviews have many who've said they got it as a gag gift but ended up loving it....so I got it for his birthday. WONDERFUL! I agree with all the other positives! My husband enjoys playing it, it's easy for him to carry around, he loves showing it off, and it's fun for the whole family. I completely recommend one of these for everyone!

Excellent quality and a lot of fun!
This was a gag gift for my husband at Christmas that turned out to be a lot of fun and entertainment! It actually sounds great and he has actually enjoyed learning some songs. The quality is really superb and it makes a great conversation piece.

Amazing product. So fun to strum on. Also great conversation piece. The dulcimer tuning makes it very easy to play.

Simple and Fun
This little instrument is so fun. It's obviously incredibly simple but I enjoy it just as much as my other stringed instruments. Also they give you a tab sheet for those who want to learn a song or two, which I thought was cool because my first thought was "Can I even play a song on this?" and the answer is yes, of course you can.
