Works well and priced right

We have Moen faucets in our house we built in 1998. We have called Moen in the past and gotten free replacement parts under their lifetime warranty. This is the second pivot rod that has rotted and failed, but they are 26 years old. I did not call for this, so I don’t know if they will cover it. Their warranty for life is only if it was installed by the builder of the home, others have a limited warranty. But if you can’t get it from them, this is the one! I was afraid to get one of those “universal” ones and this was no more money for the actual Moen part. Easy to install and fit perfectly as you would expect from the name brand. I have no complaints about Moen products and this supplier got it to me next day. Saved me from a trip to the plumbing supply and cheaper than Lowes or HD!

The ball diameter is 16mm, which matches the original part perfectly. The price is reasonable for this simple and small component. However, the inside section of the rod was slightly too long. I had to trim about 1/4 inch off to get it to fit properly. Also, the included lock nut is oversized, but I was able to reuse the original nut without any issues. Overall, it works fine with minor modification.

This Moen sink pivot rod does the job and works as expected at first. However, after about four to five years it tends to corrode and need replacement. That has been my experience even without using harsh cleaning chemicals, just normal use and hot water. It is frustrating to have to replace such a small part on an otherwise good faucet, especially since everything works fine until the corrosion becomes an issue. Installation is straightforward but annoying, and it is still awful to deal with replacing that often. Overall, it functions well but the long term durability is lacking. Three stars because it works, but I wish it lasted longer before needing replacemen

Just drop the drain stopper into the hole instead of needing to thread it through. 1. you can take it out when you clean the drain easily, 2. you don't have to waste time treading it into that hole. It is just an option so people won't steal it.

I decided to go with this as my sink is the same "moen" brand and I did not was a generic replacement. This item was an addon item but it was shipping very fast. The item came well packaged and the components were good quality. Installation was a breeze as it lined up and fit my sink perfectly. very happy with my purchase

The ball is the right size to fit into the drain. Very happy to have found this as I couldn't find that size anywhere in town, I ended up using electrical tape to hold it to to the rod because there was no clip included in the kit. The original corroded which is surprising that Moen would use a weak metal that couldn't take water in a drain part. Hopefully this one lasts.
