This is a great, lightweight, economical face shield. I found it to be *surprisingly* comfortable after I adjusted the fit to my head. It had a normal "hat band" that wraps around your head horizontally and a half band that wraps around the top of your head (prevents the whole thing from falling down into your eyes). It looks like the shield easily pops out of the band and is user-replaceable. Whether or not a replacement exists is another question. Yes, the shield is clear. There is protective sheeting on BOTH SIDES. The sheets are hard to remove and cut to the shield's edge perfectly, but once you remove it, you have a completely transparent shield! For well, well under $10, it's a steal. Enjoy! All PROS, no CONS.

Works well just wish I would have went with the ratchet style size adjustment. Keeps debris from hitting you in the face when grinding. Still recommend the ratchet style over the sizing adjustment of this one

As an electronics hobbyist, solder splashes are a real and dangerous concern. I wear prescription glasses, and have yet to find a pair of safety glasses which I can wear comfortably over my glasses. But even more so, I recently had a slash which struck my chin, so even if I was wearing safety glasses, they would not have helped. Hence, a full face shield. For the price of this, you really can't beat it. If you are a professional, or otherwise need to wear a face shield during a full working shift, this is probably not the product for you. For an hour or so, during a project, this is a great thing to have. While I can find no real complaints, a few nitpicks come to mind, but not enough to reduce my rating. Apparently my head is smaller than most people's, so even at the smallest and tightest straps settings, it's marginally loose. I might try to pad it with an old sock or something. As shipped, it was simply placed into a box with no shipping material. Be VERY careful when you open the box, do NOT use a knife or other box cutter. The actual shield was directly below the packing tape, and while I tried to be careful, even then I slightly scarred the shield while opening it. The protective coating ate most of the scarring, and what is visible will be in my extreme periphery vision, but even so. There is protective coating on both sides, one side being tinted, so make sure you peel both off before use. The shield is detachable, which implies it could be replaced, but I don't know if there does exist a replacement. Even given these, for $10, for the added safety, 5 stars is right.

At work I am known as the guy who wears a shields My job is not necessarily a welders job but an outside in all of the elements job rain snow sleet whatever and this shield protects me and gives me the flexibility of lifting it and pulling it down I apply a anti-water solution on the face shield and it serves its jobs it's very good and very useful in my outside job and activities

Good for Light-Duty Work, but Build Quality Could Be Better The NEIKO 53819A face shield gets the job done for casual or occasional use, but it’s not built for heavy-duty or daily professional work. The clear polycarbonate visor provides decent coverage and visibility once you remove the protective film on both sides (a step that’s easy to miss). It’s ANSI Z87.1 certified, so it offers basic protection for grinding, sanding, or weed whacking without obstructing your view too much. Comfort-wise, the adjustable head straps and padding make it wearable for short sessions, but the fit isn’t the most secure. If you move around a lot, it tends to slip unless you tighten it firmly. The lightweight feel is a plus, but it also hints at why it doesn’t feel as durable as higher-end shields like those from Sellstrom or Jackson Safety. After a few uses, the visor showed light scratches, and the hinge doesn’t inspire long-term confidence. On the positive side, it fits comfortably over glasses, provides full-face protection, and doesn’t fog up easily because of the open lower design. It’s fine for quick grinding, trimming, or shop work—but I wouldn’t trust it for all-day use or industrial settings. Bottom line: A decent, budget-friendly face shield for light-duty tasks and occasional DIY projects—but if you need something sturdier or more secure, spend a few extra dollars for a higher-grade model.

I ordered mine and it came on time, but missing the face shield. I thought I would simply order a replacement shield for this, it really wasn't worth the time or the effort to send it back. Standard 15" shields don't fit this unit, and searches didn't turn up any Neiko brand replacements. Ordering this was a waste of time and money. I am tossing this one, and ordered a more expensive unit by 3M, a name I can trust and know I can get the replacement face screens for.

Before purchasing this face shield, I kept getting smacked in the face with rocks and debris when weed whacking and it seriously made me angry. I'd come in after a long day of brush work and have small lacerations all over my face. Not any more! This thing is fantastic! Quality is fine. Price is great! A fabulous find!

It is a great face shield for the price, comfortable, light weight and hasn't fogged up yet. The only draw backs I see with this one compared to mor expensive brands is the ease of adjustment and it won't stay flipped up

I came back and bought a second one

Bought to use as a dental hygiene student. Fits dental loupes, does not fog up, and is much more durable than the cheap flimsy faceshields.

Good deal on Amazon sale. Will last for yrs when used occasionally in private shop. Not for commercial use.

Ok quality but after removing protective film on face shield it is not clear to look through. Everything appears foggy. Low quality lens. Protective film on one side only so it had numerous scuffs and scratches from shipping.
