Dracaena Marginata or the Madagascar Dragon Tree is just one of many house plants belonging to the Dracaena Group. Plant Care Instructions: Light-Light shade is best. For example actually sitting on a North facing window ledge, close to an East / West facing window or some distance away from a South facing one.

Healthy and beautiful!
Update: I bought a second plant to add to the first one. This one arrived about 2 days after I ordered it and was also in perfect condition. Now I have 2 very healthy plants that are just beautiful!!!I saw so many bad reviews I hesitated to get this one, but the price was just too good. I am so glad I did! I am not sure what happened to other people, maybe shipping in the winter or leaving their plants outside damaged them. I had none of those problems. It is May in the Northeast and everything is fine here. My plants were protected nicely and both are super healthy. I repotted this little guy the next day and he is doing great in my window. The red/pink is really striking and draws the eye. It has been almost 2 weeks now and no signs of disease, parasites, rot, or really anything at all. I will happily order from this nursery again. Very lovely plant with plenty of solid roots.

Healthy Dragon Tree
I am very happy with my new dragon tree! I ordered it for my leopard gecko's enclosure and it is the perfect size at about 12" tall. It came very well packed with plastic wrap around the pot to prevent the soil from spilling and packing peanuts surrounding the plant to keep it from shifting. There was no damage to the plant and all of the leaves look great! I checked out the roots as well and they are large and healthy. I would definitely order again if I need another dragon tree in the future!

Very very disappointed !!!
Ordered this plant a month ago and I’m truly disappointed by the way the plant is delivered.....arrived with broken & bent leaves but the foliage was good. So, was little happy from inside because the plant seemed healthy from outside and had a hope of recovery. I tried repotting the plant a week later and the moment I removed the plant from the growers pot, I noticed the roots were completely damaged by whites mites also spider mites are all over the soil and roots. Immediately treated the plant with mites spray.... washed the plant roots with distilled water also cleaned the leaves...sprayed the mites treatment again & repotted the cleaned plant with the I indoor potting mix I always use, but couldn’t save my plant. The stem of the plant was completely eaten away by mites and died in 2weeks. My plant couldn’t survive even a month!!!! Glad I didn’t keep my dracaena with my other indoor plants or these mites would have damaged all my other plants.

Just what I was looking for!
Packaged very well and is indeed the red version of the Marginata I was looking for! With this purchase I received two in one pot, and was so happy I placed another order (Edit the next order had only one, so there's an inconsistency. I'm a little disappointed by that, but still 5 stars).Small Guide: This isolation from corona virus has made me more intensive on research of the different types of Dracaenas. For all of you concerned about damage to the leaves, the good news is these guys drop their leaves as they grow eventually shedding unattractive leaves. If left too dry their leaves will wilt permanently until they shed off, so water diligently, but not too much. Use distilled water because they're sensitive to fluoride (unless your tap water doesn't have fluoride) and only water when the top 2 inches of soil are dry. One common mistake with watering is people routinely water and that's why a lot of plants end up dying. Aside from water, this variety requires more light than other Marginatas to keep their color. Once they're big enough, you can propagate these guys by cutting stems and putting them in water or soil to grow roots! You can also grow these guys in two ways. Cutting off the top of the trunk forces them to grow shoots making them bushier or you can let the main trunk grow very tall. It takes years, but Marginatas are tree's and they'll grow to the ceiling depending on the care. To force new growth, you prune the leaves by pushing down on them and remove them before they shed. Make sure you start from the bottom and move up the trunk. DO NOT pull left, right, or up, as it can damage the trunk! Lastly, these plants will live with you for your entire life if you take care of them. Hopefully this helps!

Dropped almost all the leaves.
ETA - I reached out to them to the let them know the condition of the plant (I now only have two leaves left haha) and they said they will send a replacement. So I will update this once that happens. My plant arrived nicely packaged and looked really good even though the care guide included was for a totally different plant with different needs. After buying a plant that is in a pot I usually give it some acclimate before replanting so as to minimize stress. But I think that is the issue because they planted it in poorly draining soil and it arrived well watered. And two days later soil was still what I would call wet instead of moist. And then, my poor plant started shedding all the leaves, after just 2-3 days. Online it says overwatering can cause it so I Immediately got rid of all the soil around the roots and repotted. But it has lost 2/3 of the leaves and I am not sure the rest will last.I am beyond disappointed because it isn’t as if this is a super fast growing plant.
