Prevention Oncology Mouthwash, Non-Alcohol, 16oz

I have a very sensitive mouth and currently going through chemo, unfortunately I’ve been getting mouth sores. This mouthwash doses not burn my mouth as others do. It really helps with the sores without burning from alcohol that is in most mouthwashes.

As a five year cancer patient, if you are having radiation or chemotherapy you know how important daily oral hygiene is. I have been using bio teen toothpaste for more than two years and I love it. I needed a mouthwash because I have terrible dry mouth and my gums had become very sensitive. I tried a bio teen mouthwash and it was so painful that I couldn’t keep it in my mouth long enough to swish it around This product is painless but for me it left an odd taste in my mouth and ha almost a metallic aftertaste. My sense of smell and taste have been extremely different and it may just be me experiencing the odd taste. It is a minty flavor so that could also have made it taste different. Overall I have to strongly recommend this product. For the last five years I have struggled to maintain a normal oral hygiene routine because I can’t go to the dentist during treatment and I’m sure that anyone else like me understands the stress and concerns about keeping your mouth healthy during treatment. This product does not burn and isn’t painful to use. Even though it left a metallic taste in my mouth it had no smell that I could detect and it didn’t bother my nasal cavities at all. It didn’t change the way anything tastes and I was able to drink water without any weird taste While it is soothing during use, after about 5 minutes my lips were sticking to my teeth again. It’s not really a product for dry mouth but it’s awesome as a rinse treatment 2-3 times a day. Highly recommend. Try it before you buy something else.

I have used this product faithfully since starting chemo and so far have not had trouble with mouth sores. I think it's a little overpriced, but I'm happy with it so far and if it does help prevent chemo-related mouth sores, that's huge.
