Great router.. Fix it and forget it. One tiny problem is that wifi6 range is very small.

Es un excelente router, mejoro la cobertura de wifi en toda mi casa, aparte de mejorar el tiempo de respuesta al navegar, pero lo más importante es la estabilidad, el módem+router que da la compañía tenia muchos problemas con la cantidad de dispositivos conectados, ahora con este router no se pierde la conexión ni aunque tenga visitas y me entrega el completo ancho de banda en cualquier rincón de la casa. Es muy sencillo de instalar y la aplicación del celular funciona bastante bien, aparte del buen precio, de haber sabido que esto me costaría tener una conexión decente, lo habría hecho hace mucho.

I bought this TP-LInk AX3000 to replace my old router, which is a noname brand wifi6. My old router works fine but I am looking for one with advanced features. This TP-Link catches my eyes as it supports openwrt. Other than serving as the main wifi router in a 2400 sq ft home, I also set it up as a wireguard client to forward some traffic to a remote wireguard server. It took some effort to configure it correctly as it only accepts some simple configurations: no ipv6 and no complex ''AllowedIPs" maybe due to limited line length. But I got it to work eventually. As a router, it has good range. I don't experience much slowdown even if I go to another floor or move far away from the router. As a wireguard client, it posts good results: 130 mbps download and 80 mbps upload with my internet speed and that of the remote wireguard server being both over 250/250. However this is slower than my pc server which posts 220/130. This suggests that the CPU of the router is the limiting factor. Overall, this is a great purchase. I believe this is probably the cheapest openwrt router on the market at the moment.

Received it 2 weeks ago. Setup was straightforward. Used the same SSID as my previous router. All my devices reconnected instantly. I have a 1.5Gig internet service with Bell Fiber. With my previous, very good, Asus router, on my MacBook Pro 16 M3 Pro (wifi 6E), I was achieving max 700-800Mbps. Now, I get a steady 1.5Gbps on wifi everywhere in my home. No repeater needed. Can't wait to check with Wifi7 devices. Very configurable but also user friendly. Can isolate Wifi6 from other devices. Some useless features like the Del in front of of the router where you can choose what to display... But, if you buy this type of router, well, you are probably geek a bit so just more fun ahead ;-)
