Great kit for exercising while traveling or otherwise away from your gym
This is a great training system. I bought this for travel when I can't go to my gym. There is almost no limit to the number of exercises you can do with this. The kit comes with a DVD of exercises. When you sign up online, they give you access to even more videos. You can use the videos to learn how to do the motions of exercises, and you can exercise with the videos. They give you reasonable amounts of time to do different motions and then time to swap to a new motion's setup. I setup my laptop in the hotel room so I could see the display while I was using the TRX. I can almost always hook it over the door to the room. Sometimes I use the bathroom door. My personal trainer has me use the pro/military grade version. The handles are slightly different, and the hardware is a little different. Nothing that affects your ability to exercise in the least bit. One point I'd make though, is that I am using TRX a couple times a month (at least) with my professional trainer. This is serious gear. It allows you to start where you are able to perform, and then adjust to harder exercises easily as you get stronger. I've seen my trainer use it with other clients in ways I can't imagine doing the motion - I just don't have the strength yet. But I hope to get there. This can work all the major muscle groups. Arms, legs, core. The core gets a beating in most of the arm & leg exercises, too. This is sturdy. The item is genuine. I verified the label with the company. There was some concern that it might be counterfeit. I asked because this didn't have the same kind of proof label the TRX I use at the gym has, but the company verified it for me. The box it comes in use sturdy and we use it when we travel in the car. When I pack it in my bag for air travel, I use the stuff sack. Would definitely buy again if this were stolen. Or my wife needed one for travel while I also traveled separately, etc. When we're together, one of us will use TRX while the other does body weight exercises on the floor. And then we switch off so we both get a good workout in. Watch the videos.

Great piece of equipment to add to my collection
I used this piece of equipment at physical therapy for a spinal cord injury and had to have one of my own to work out at the gym. It’s the perfect piece of equipment to add support while strengthening muscles , balance, and stability. There are a multitude of exercises to do and the app provides support. The length is adjustable and is easy to tailor to your specific needs.

Happy they came out with a home version
I train with a master trainer at my local gym and he is TRX certified (actually, he is way awesome!). My trainer uses the TRX quite a bit and I am amazed with the different exercises he comes up with to challenge me. I think the TRX is probably the only piece of equipment that can leave me with the gentle soreness that lets you know you've done great work, even my abs. The TRX is great because you can move your position very slightly to change the resistance. When my friend told me Amazon had these, I jumped on it. I can do many of my routines at home, which means not having to venture out in bad weather, and I can also still work out when I have to travel. It folds up compact and is quite light. TRX is also a quality product. These get a lot of use at my local gym and stand up to it. Because I do some work that is fully suspended, I will be hinting to my boyfriend that I'd like the ceiling mount for my birthday this year along with professional installation. I would definitely recommend the ceiling mount for anyone who is more advanced. I also will be checking Amazon for if the price drops on the TRX rip trainer as those are another great piece of equipment: http://www.amazon.com/Fitness-Anywhere-Inc-1377206-TRX-Rip/dp/B005LR54Q2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394976662&sr=8-1&keywords=trx+rip+trainer One thing I do highly recommend is training with a TRX certified trainer so that you learn proper form. I see way too many people letting their elbows go too far back when they are doing things like chest presses and that puts unnecessary strain on their rotator cuffs. Yes, a training package can be a little expensive, but well worth having good form and the results. I'm 46, the mother of 2 and constantly get lovely comments (from both men and women) on the shape I'm in.

Much better than Go enough cheaper than Pro
I just got this after using the GO version at physio office. The big ding for the GO is that the cams are slipping. This one has spring metal clamps so the probability of that happening is very low. This version is great and the only ding I found is that the handles are not rigid enough for my taste. The handles cores will bend under full body weight (not touching the ground). It is an elastic bent and they recover immediately when the pressure is released. That is a 100+ weight on each handle. As not many people will do something that requires full suspension (balance is tricky!) this should not be an issue for most people. The foam on the handles is on the soft side so I expect it to wear out with lots of use more quickly than the Pro model. But the Pro model is a steep jump in price that is not justified for most people.

Great tool for on-the-go workouts
As an avid gym-rat who gets a little twitchy when he misses a workout, I was looking for something I could use to get a good strength training workout while traveling on vacation or for work. The personal trainers at our gym introduced me to the TRX system and I ordered one to give it a try. In the few short weeks I've owned it, I have been able to take the TRX Home Training Bundle on a camping trip, on a business trip, and to work with me for a 2-day IT system crash event. While camping I was able to use trees and the rafters in a pavilion to support the TRX system, and found both made easy platforms for great workouts. At hotels and while trapped at work for two days, I was able to use the door mount to sneak in some workouts, and I found that platform to be stable as well. So it seems to me you can almost always find a place to mount the TRX system, as long as you exercise a little common sense about doing so safely. And once it's mounted securely, the TRX system is quite versatile, and allowed me to perform many exercises to get a completely taxing strength workout. The system is simple to use and well-marked for making quick changes between exercises. For the configurations that are less intuitive, the included book provides good illustrations, tips, and tricks. The only reason I withheld a 5th star on this review is because of the way the TRX system is constructed. The materials and workmanship seem solid to me. But the product is finished in such a way that very little of the system is modular. That is to say, if you were ever to wear out a pad on one of the handles, replacing it would require a lot of craftsmanship, not just a simple swap-out. So I expect that needing to replace any component on the TRX system would likely be met with having to replace the whole kit and kaboodle. I think a modular design would allow me to be more aggressive with the unit while making me comfortable I could replace parts fairly inexpensively. ('Cause let's face it, nearly $200 for nylon and ingenuity is pushing it anyway).

Functional and easy to use
Obviously not a perfect replacement for a gym, but it allows a lot of functional training. My biggest surprise was how much less my knees hurt doing bodyweight squats using these to stay more vertical. Slow, deep squats and keep taking a little more pressure onto my arms allows me to push harder by going longer. Definitely feel it the next day. Love it

Wow … these TRX bands are a great addition to our exercise room
I had never heard of TRX bands but stumbled upon them while shopping for a small piece of equipment to do inverted rows. There were a few smaller specialty pieces of equipment just for inverted rows / pull ups, but then I noticed these bands in the search results. Turns out these bands cost much less than the other equipment I was considering and can do a ton more exercises. No brainer. It turns out my wife uses these in her ‘burn’ classes and my son also uses them in his middle school sports training. They were both very excited when they saw the box and I now see why. Very easy to install, very easy to use and you can do a ton of challenging exercises with them. I installed them in the ceiling using a TRX X-mount and it has worked perfect. Although technically it looks like you can mount these on the top of a door, that looks like it would greatly reduce the number of exercises you can do. To me, it wouldn’t be worth it if I had to mount it on top of a door. The rows I purchased these for are done while laying flat on the ground almost directly under the ceiling mount. So if I had mounted it on at the top of a door, then this exercise wouldn’t have been possible (nowhere to put your feet / extend your legs). The installation instructions start by saying you need a space that’s 8 ft deep and 6 feet side to workout in. And when you read further, it specifies that length wise it should be 5 feet behind you and 3 feet in front of you (for a total of 8). For me the ceiling mount was 100% the way to go. I moved some other equipment around to make sure the workout space for these was the recommended width of 6 ft wide (3 ft on each side). Having the full 8 ft X 6 ft space available to work out in makes a big difference. My wife and son are very happy with this purchase and I unexpectedly got a new piece of equipment that’s just as valuable as everything else in our weight room (and it cost less and takes up a lot less space). Plus the exercises are surprisingly very challenging and effective. Very happy with this purchase.
